Review: Madi Paidi Bangkok, Autograph Collection | Marriott Bonvoy

The Madi Paidi Bangkok stands out as a magnificent new hotel set in a particularly trendy neighbourhood: I give it 10 out of 10. The property is distinguished by an extremely friendly and warm staff, who perfectly embody the hospitality of modern Thai culture. A real favourite!
For this one-week stay in the Thai capital (split between the Hotel Muse, Autograph Collection, and the Madi Paidi, Autograph Collection), I first chose a hotel away from the traditional tourist bustle to explore a more residential and modern side of the city: the Madi Paidi Bangkok. This intimate property is an ideal place to settle in!
At the time of booking, I chose a standard room, but my Titanium Elite Marriott Bonvoy status earned me a pleasant upgrade on arrival.
I paid entirely in cash, to keep my Bonvoy points balance for other travel plans. At a rate of around $300 to $350 a night, the cost is, in my opinion, entirely reasonable and justified for a boutique property of this calibre. In points, expect about 40,000 points per night on average; Marriott uses dynamic pricing, so check the rate for your dates on marriott.com.
The Madi Paidi is in the trendy Thong Lor neighbourhood. Getting there is very easy: it is only three to five minutes on foot from the BTS Skytrain's Thong Lo station. From Suvarnabhumi or Don Mueang international airports, allow about forty to forty-five minutes by taxi depending on traffic.
My arrival at the Madi Paidi Bangkok was marked by a particularly warm welcome. The clerk came up to give us a full tour of the room. Even though this young woman was still in training, she proved perfectly informed, professional and attentive.
For our 15th wedding anniversary, the team prepared wonderful touches in the room, with a very special mention for an actual treasure hunt. Clues had been hidden in every corner of the room, leading to a lovely surprise (a mystery I'll keep for future guests!). An original and playful idea, a first for me, that shows the creativity and sense of hospitality of the Madi Paidi team.
The upgrade to the Sapphire room turned out to be exceptional! It offers a superb corner view of the neighbourhood and a remarkably comfortable bed. Although the overall space remains intimate and rather small, the layout is highly refined, enhanced by high-end furniture and fittings.
A special mention goes to the seating area cleverly set up along the picture window, ideal for relaxing while watching the city. The bathroom, just as beautiful, holds an excellent surprise: the exceptional quality of the soaps and toiletries, so good that we had to buy some at the hotel shop before leaving. There is no notable downside to this magnificent room at the Madi Paidi!
Open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., this restaurant serves refined fusion cuisine combining Thai and Japanese flavours with international influences. Our dinners were very well executed, showcasing local ingredients with creative touches on classic dishes, such as excellent Thai-style carbonara pasta and a khao soi with an Italian twist.
For elite members, the hotel offers many high-quality inclusions, including an ideal happy hour with delicious bites. Finally, breakfast is simply exquisite, with a buffet and a fabulous à la carte menu, which turns out to be exactly the same as the one offered to regular guests.
Set on the roof, the pool offers a magnificent view of the neighbourhood and the skyscrapers on the horizon. Although modest in size, it is extremely charming, well maintained and ideal for cooling off in peace.
The fitness centre, right next to the pool, offers brand-new equipment in beautiful bright spaces, a modern and pleasant setting for working out up high.
The hotel enjoys an exceptional location, just steps from the BTS Skytrain station, which makes getting around the capital remarkably simple. Set in an extremely trendy and lively neighbourhood, the hotel is surrounded by a host of trendy restaurants, specialty cafés and large shopping malls.
The location will also appeal to culture lovers, since you can easily reach the brand-new Dib Bangkok contemporary art museum. It is the ideal base for enjoying both Bangkok's dynamic city life and its cultural offering.

In short, the Madi Paidi Bangkok is a real favourite of mine in Thailand. The hotel stands out for service that is both professional and warm, while offering an experience that is both playful and highly refined. From the choice of furniture to the superb rooftop pool and the remarkable cuisine of its restaurant, every detail has been carefully thought out.
It is an ideal address for couples or friends travelling together who are looking for the perfect blend of elegance, style and modern conviviality. I give it 10 out of 10.
