Upon exiting my Emirates First Class flight in Dubai, I was fortunate enough to be driven directly by buggy to the Emirates First Class Lounge. I was able to enjoy it for a bit before taking my 3rd First Class B777 flight with Emirates.
Emirates airline offers several lounges within Dubai Airport (DXB). We will review the Emirates Business Class lounge in another article. The main Emirates First Class lounge was closed, but a smaller second one is located behind the Business Class lounge, on the same floor. This is the one I was taken to.
My personal assistant will handle the formalities for me to enter the lounge and will escort me to my table.
The First Class lounge is accessible only to Emirates airline passengers holding a First Class ticket, as well as eligible Emirates Skywards members.
This second Emirates First Class lounge mainly features dining areas. You can settle into comfortable armchairs or choose to sit at more upright restaurant-style chairs.
As we were in the COVID-19 period, buffet services were suspended. Table service was provided. Staff members made sure to check on me multiple times to ensure I lacked nothing.
A drinks buffet was located further away, as well as a designated area for smokers.
Rest areas are present in the center (but were not accessible during my visit), as well as the restrooms. Otherwise, other equally comfortable armchairs are located on the opposite wing.
The Emirates First Class lounge is very pleasant, and the service meets the expectations one might have for First Class, but the overall experience remains less exceptional, more classic due to COVID-19.
