Airport Montreal-Trudeau International Airport
Country Canada
City Montreal
To the point This lounge airport is the only one in the domestic zone of Montreal-Trudeau Airport. Here are its characteristics and how to access it.

Domestic zone (domestic flights)

The Montreal-Trudeau airport is divided into 4 distinct sections:

  • Domestic flights (Canada)
  • International (all international flights outside the U.S.)
  • Transborder (to the United States)
  • Public (before security)

After passing through security, passengers cannot freely move from one section to another.

This Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge is located in the domestic zone (or domestic area). Therefore, only travelers with a flight to another Canadian city have access to this Maple Leaf Lounge.

On the ground floor, you will find the Air Canada Café. It’s a rather luxurious Café with quick bites and drinks, more of a “Grab and Go” type. If the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge in the domestic zone is crowded, you can head to the Air Canada Café. The entry conditions are the same.

There are several ways to get to lounge. All the ways to get in are in our article on How to get to Air Canada’s Maple Leaf Lounges.

I went in with my family of 2 adults and 2 children. My American Express® Aeroplan®* Business Reserve Card allows me to enter and bring in a guest for free (1st child).

My partner has the TD® Aeroplan® Visa Infinite Privilege* Credit Cardwhich enabled him to enter lounge, along with our other child (free of charge).

Armchairs, chairs and tables are scattered throughout lounge. More comfortable cinema-style armchairs are located in the far corner, opposite the television.

In the seating area closest to the reception, there is a LavAzza coffee maker.

Sitting areas near large windows overlook the tarmac. To plug in electronic devices, opt for armchairs or chairs near walls or windows.

There’s also a business area with individual cubicles and a printer and photocopier.

Food

The food and beverage area is located in the center of lounge. When we were there, the tables contained fruit, muffins and pastries.

During meal times, you will find everything needed for a breakfast, lunch, or dinner buffet.

The juice dispenser and Lavazza coffee maker are in the buffet table area. A little further back is the alcoholic beverage facility. As it was early in the morning, it was of course closed.

Bottom Line

Air Canada’s lounge Maple Leaf lounge in the domestic zone at Montreal-Tudeau is a little less impressive than the Maple Leaf lounges in the international and transborder zones, with their huge windows.

But lounge is a good alternative for resting and eating away from the hustle and bustle of the airport.
