Air Canada is reaching a new milestone in its international expansion with the announcement of a brand-new route between Montreal and Palma de Mallorca, which will be inaugurated on June 17, 2026.
This new service marks the debut of the highly anticipated Airbus A321XLR in the national carrier’s fleet.

Air Canada expects to receive up to 30 A321XLR aircraft, with the first 10 to be delivered in 2026. The carrier plans to add new destinations from Toronto, Ottawa, and Halifax using these aircraft.
This new route represents an excellent opportunity for travelers. Palma de Mallorca, a popular destination for its beautiful Mediterranean beaches, was previously not served directly from Canada by a Canadian carrier.
