Driven by a sense of sharing, a sensitivity to ecology, and a passion for the terroir, Teritoria’s independent establishments share a common mission: a commitment to sincere, sustainable hospitality in the service of the living.
Nestled in the most beautiful corners of the Old Continent, in France, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany and Greece, the houses – generally four-star hotels and Michelin-starred restaurants – are true jewel cases, celebrating local produce and good food without restraint. Here’s an overview.
The Teritoria Network
When it was founded in 1975, the Teritoria network was better known as Châteaux & Hôtels Collection. A few years later it became Les Collectionneurs, and then in 2023 it transitioned to what we know today, Teritoria.
More than just a name change, the brand took a new direction, notably favouring committed hospitality. The goal? Encourage travellers to travel less, consume locally, and refocus on what really matters: a rich human experience.
Commitments
In response to travellers who are increasingly attentive to the impact of their tourism practices, Teritoria establishments are committed to sustainably transforming their industry. How? By uniting around a common set of commitments to meet three major challenges:
- Reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions
- Quality of life and working conditions for their teams
- Biodiversity preservation, notably by financing agroforestry projects in France and Italy
In France, accommodation and restaurants account for 13% of GHG emissions in the tourism sector, which alone accounts for 11% of the country’s emissions.

But Teritoria starts from the premise that before member establishments can reduce their carbon footprint, they must measure it using a suitable tool. With this in mind, all Teritoria members commit to carrying out a carbon audit every two years, after which they receive annual reduction targets. Strategies are then put forward to limit energy and water consumption, opt for more local products and set up a recycling and composting system.
Teritoria Member Hotels and Restaurants
Teritoria locations, be they hotels, charming houses or restaurants, all have one thing in common: they nestle in the heart of their communities and play an active role in their development. The atmosphere is family-friendly and hospitable, and locally sourced products are celebrated. Human in scale, they usually have just a handful of rooms and tables.
Mas des Colombes, France
Our favourites include Le Mas des Colombes, a five-star hotel nestled in the heart of France’s Catalan countryside. What are some of the services offered? A heated pool overlooking the mountain landscape, an overflowing spa, a gym and other personalized services.
Domaine de Rochebois, France
The Domaine de Rochebois, located six kilometres from Sarlat-La-Canéda in the heart of Périgord Noir, is also worth a visit, with its elegant 19th-century residence and two villas.
Les Oliviers de Palombaggia, France
Les Oliviers de Palombaggia is a Corsican location close to the Corsican beach. There are eight independent villas in exceptional locations, as well as suites with private pools or spas.
Romantik Alpenhotel Waxenstein, Germany
On the German side, our heart is set on the Romantik Alpenhotel Waxenstein, at the foot of the Bavarian Alps. Its location close to Garmisch-Partenkirchen makes it the ideal base for exploring the surrounding mountains.
Ausonia Hungaria, Italy
Ausonia Hungaria is a hotel-restaurant housed in an Art Nouveau building in the heart of Venice. This is the ideal place for a romantic stay in the City of the Doges.
Ostraco Suites, Greece
In Mykonos, Greece, the Ostraco Suites houses 22 rooms, each with its own private pool. In a surreal setting designed by Stalla Andronikou, every corner of the hotel is an invitation to dream.
Teritoria – Loyalty Program
Like many hotel groups, such as Marriott and Marriott Bonvoy, Accor and ALL, Hilton and Hilton Honors, Teratoria has its own loyalty program. However, it offers just one advantage: credits equivalent to 3% of the total amount spent (including tax) in the network’s restaurants and hotels. These can be exchanged at Teratoria outlets within twelve months. After this period, the credits are lost.
The credits collected can be used to pay for all or part of the accommodation or catering services. It’s important to note, however, that the collection is limited to 250 euros (which would mean that you would have spent 8,333 euros in Teratoria establishments in one year).
Opening an Account
The program is open to all adults with a Teritoria account. Opening a new account is free and online. It only requires the following information:
- First and last name
- Postal address
- E-mail address
- Phone number
Once the account has been opened, a loyalty card will be issued. To collect credits, the card must be presented when paying at the hotel or restaurant.
