Review : Ritz Dove Mountain, Arizona | Marriott Bonvoy

Just 30 minutes from Tucson, the Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain offers an exceptional setting, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. This hotel is a true haven of peace in the midst of a desert landscape emblematic of the American Southwest. Nearby, some 30 km of hiking trails wind through Saguaro National Park. Finally, the location of The Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain lends the resort a character that invites relaxation, exploration and contemplation of Arizona’s flora and fauna.

At the time of booking at the Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain, holiday prices were particularly low in terms of points. Obviously, I’d done it in advance, but I was able to use my one-night-free certificate obtained with my Marriott Bonvoy^MD American Express^MD* Card, combined with some 5,000 extra points. So, the room I was able to get for this price in points was the King bed room with a view of the mountains.

At check-in, thanks to my Titanium status, I managed to get upgraded to the same room category, but with a view of the canyon! By the way, the check-in at the Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain is impeccable. From the imposing gate indicating arrival at the resort, to the tour of the hotel and room led by the valet assigned to our room: everything is worthy of a memorable stay!

Located in the pavilion overlooking the canyon, the Canyon Viewfeatures a vestibule, spacious bathroom and Ritz-Carlton comfort. The sober decor is perfect for relaxing, and the balcony, though small and not very intimate, invites you to contemplate the majestic canyon.

Although breakfast is not offered with elite status at The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain, a discount is still available depending on your status level. That said, the ToGo restaurant offers the option of a buffet or an à la carte choice, with a fairly varied offering.

As for other catering options, these are quite diverse. Whether you’re in the mood for a steakhouse at the Core Kitchen and Wine Bar, creative cocktails at the Ignite Lounge and Bar, or Latin American cuisine at the Turquesa Latin Grill, we’ve got you covered!

The infinity pool, the Ritz Kids area and the spa are THE main reasons why I enjoyed my stay at the Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain. Nestled in the heart of the canyon, the pool and whirlpool offer unrivalled relaxation. What’s more, in theRitz Kids area, you can climb to the top of a large slide and enjoy an exceptional panorama of Dove Mountain… before sliding down to your child’s heart’s content!

All in all, the Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain is a great value for money choice. This is probably one of the least expensive hotels in the Ritz-Carlton chain. Whether you’re a couple or a family, you’ll be delighted, and the resort’s team will provide you with a memorable experience in the heart of the canyon and the saguaros.
