Our opinion on the lounge Bidvest Skylounge
During a flight from Johannesburg to Cape Town on Mango (in economy class), we went with our family to this lounge Bidvest Skylounge at Johannesburg Airport.
Audrey and I each have an American Express Card from PlatinumMD. This card gives us a free Priority Pass membership as well as unlimited access to airport lounges for the cardholder AND one guest.
So, each of us can enter for free with our children. Since my mom was traveling with us, I let her in using one of the 6 accesses offered by my Scotiabank Passport™ Visa Infinite* Card.
Technically, it has to be in the name of the holder of the card (i.e. me) then one of his guests (but here, I entered with another Priority Pass subscription). But hey… as often, the employees close their eyes 😉
Around 6:00 pm, the lounge is not very busy.
So it wasn’t very hard to find a place to relax in peace and quiet.
In the middle of the living room are many tables, close to the buffet.
Along the windows overlooking the inside of the terminal, high tables with international electrical connections.
The buffet consisted of many small international snacks: African, Asian, European.
In short, there is something for everyone, especially since the quality is excellent!
And sweet / savoury for the children (and to take on the plane)!
Lovers of South African wines and beers will be served!
The children were thrilled: free access to the airport’s “span class=”term” data-original-term=”c2Fsb24=”>salons saves a lot of money when travelling as a family!
An excellent lounge in this terminal for domestic flights from Johannesburg airport! I highly recommend it!
