Emirates Skywards: 25% Off Air Canada Flights
Loading article…
Emirates Skywards offers a 25% discount on its Economy class flight awards with partner carriers, starting at 2,250 miles. Air Canada is on the list, making this an interesting opportunity for Canadians holding Skywards miles, whether from Emirates flights or through a program transfer.
The Emirates Skywards discount on Air Canada flights
Normally, redeeming Emirates Skywards miles for an Air Canada flight follows the program’s standard partner award chart. Here are the full details of this discount:
- The discount covers 18 partner carriers: Aegean Airlines, Air Canada, Air Mauritius, Azul, Bangkok Airways, Condor, Copa Airlines, Garuda Indonesia, GOL, Japan Airlines, Jetstar Airways, Korean Air, Malaysia Airlines, Olympic Air, Qantas, South African Airways, TAP Air Portugal, and United Airlines.
- Eligible regions include Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, South America, Australia, Europe, East Asia, the Middle East, the Indian subcontinent, and Central Asia.
- No travel date restrictions: only the ticket issue date, between July 24 and August 9, 2026, matters.
- The offer applies only to new bookings and cannot be combined with other awards.
Impact for Aeroplan Points and Star Alliance Members
This offer does not affect your Aeroplan points: it concerns only Emirates Skywards miles. If you do not hold Skywards miles, this discount does not change your usual strategy with Aeroplan.
However, if you accumulate Skywards miles, for example because you regularly fly with Emirates to the Middle East, South Asia, or Africa, this discount may be worth exploring for a regional flight with Air Canada rather than letting those miles sit idle. It’s also a useful reminder that Air Canada and Emirates maintain a reciprocal earning and redemption partnership, separate from the Star Alliance network to which Air Canada belongs.
My Recommendations
If you hold unused Emirates Skywards miles, here’s how I would maximize this discount before it expires.
- Check the mileage cost of an Air Canada flight that interests you before August 9, while the 25% discount applies.
- Always compare the Skywards miles cost with the Aeroplan points cost for the same route: depending on the route, one program or the other may be more advantageous.
For frequent travelers who accumulate on both sides, consult our complete Emirates Skywards guide to understand all redemption rules.
