From October 15 to November 3, 2026, Porter Airlines is giving away 20,000 VIPorter points every day, 20 winners in all for its 20th birthday. You are entered automatically if you are a Canadian member of VIPorter and have flown with Porter or redeemed points since October 1, 2025. Keep one thing in mind: the winner must respond by 5 p.m. (ET) the same day.
20,000 VIPorter points a day: who is eligible
Porter holds one draw a day at around 10 a.m. (ET), weekends included, for 20 winners in total. The official contest rules set the following conditions:
Period: from October 15, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. to November 3, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. (ET)
Eligibility: residents of Canada, Quebec included, who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory
Automatic entry: VIPorter members who took an eligible Porter flight or redeemed points between October 1, 2025 and November 3, 2026
No flight, no purchase: mail-in entry with a handwritten text of at least 50 words, received by November 3, 2026
Limit: one prize per person or household, one entry per VIPorter account
Not a member yet? Joining VIPorter is free, and the rules cover new members: an eligible flight or a points redemption during the contest is enough to enter.
Drawn as a winner? Respond by 5 p.m. (ET)
This is the condition that can cost you the prize. Porter tries to reach the winner between 10 a.m. and noon (ET) on draw day, and you then need to complete these steps:
By 5 p.m. (ET) the same day: respond to the notice and confirm your selection
Within 2 business days: return the signed declaration and release form
Within 3 business days: meet the verification requirements
Skill-testing question: answer a math question unaided, within a time limit
Deposit: the points reach your account 2 to 4 weeks after verification
What 20,000 VIPorter points can get you
Using the redemption chart Porter cites in its October 15 press release, a 20,000-point prize lets you book, for example:
4 one-way short-haul flights, starting at 5,000 points each
2 one-way long-haul flights, starting at 7,000 points each, with 6,000 points left over
1 round trip to the sun in Mexico or the Caribbean, starting at 10,000 points each way
Porter kicked off the celebrations on August 11, 2026 with "The Little Things Blind Boxes," its first merchandise collection. The 5,000 boxes, sold for US$22 (about CA$30) on porter20.com with 1,000 units per item, are now sold out.
Here are the five items in the collection, each representing a familiar part of the Porter experience:
Mr. Porter, the airline’s raccoon mascot
The De Havilland Dash 8-400 aircraft
The Embraer E195-E2 aircraft
A small glass, a nod to the complimentary drinks served in real glassware onboard
A small piece of luggage
Each sealed box measures 10.4 cm x 10.4 cm x 12.7 cm, with the contents wrapped inside an aluminum-foil paper bag. A keychain is included to turn the item into an accessory once unboxed. Porter plans to ship orders at the end of November 2026.
This collection adds to an already busy year for Porter, between its codeshare agreement with British Airways and the launch of its flights at Montreal’s new MET Airport.
The Porter "Gold" Pass: 20 flights up for grabs
According to Porter's August 11, 2026 press release, 20 of the 5,000 boxes hide a Porter "Gold" Pass, redeemable for 20 flights, the equivalent of 10 round trips to a destination in Porter's network. If you bought a box, you will find out when you open it.
Our tips for VIPorter members
If you have a Porter flight booked before November 3, 2026, you are already in the draw. Otherwise, a points redemption is enough, even for a one-way short-haul flight starting at 5,000 points.
