Seats.aero Launches Calendar: Spot the Cheapest Date for Your Points at a Glance

Seats.aero has added a Calendar view that shows you the lowest points price for each day, across every program it tracks. On Montreal–Paris, it surfaces nonstops at 12,000 Virgin points or 35,200 Aeroplan points at a glance, when other days cost 56,400 points. We tested it with a Pro account.
Airline calendars show prices for a single program: Aeroplan shows Aeroplan, Flying Blue shows Flying Blue. The Seats.aero calendar compares every program it tracks and keeps the cheapest one for each day.
In practice:
You switch to it from the "View" menu above your search results.

Seats.aero also says you can search with broad geographic codes, such as the East Coast to Europe, or with custom airport groups. We haven't tested those two features in the calendar yet.
We searched YUL–CDG in economy for November and December 2026. In each day, the top line gives you the best nonstop price and the bottom line the best price with a connection.
On the nonstop line, Aeroplan fills every day in November. You spot the low fares right away:
Without the calendar, you would have to open the dates one by one to find those eight days. Here, you see them at a glance, and the gap reaches 21,200 points per one-way ticket.

The details for a day give you what you need to book. On November 27, for example, two Air Canada nonstops, AC870 and AC874, cost 56,400 points + $80.41 CAD in taxes and fees, with 9 seats open.

Show every program and you will see the lowest prices change completely:

Hover over a green day and you get the details. On November 19, for example, Air France's nonstop costs 12,000 Virgin points + $268.20 CAD, with 9 seats open. On the same day, Qantas offers a connecting flight for 34,700 points.

Click a date and you get the full list of flights. On November 11, for example, Aeroplan offers the nonstop for 35,200 points, while AAdvantage and Atmos ask 22,500 points with a connection.

Before you transfer, compare the taxes too: the 12,000-point Virgin award comes with $268.20 CAD in taxes and fees, versus $80.41 CAD for an Aeroplan nonstop. From Canada, you earn Virgin and Atmos points mainly by transferring Marriott Bonvoy points, at 3 Bonvoy points for 1 airline point. Those 12,000 Virgin points therefore cost you 36,000 Bonvoy points.
We tested Calendar with a Pro account, and Seats.aero opened it to Pro subscribers first. The Seats.aero Pro plan costs $9.99 USD per month or $99.99 USD per year. It gives you a full year of availability and live search, while the free account stops at 60 days.
The subscription is billed in US dollars, so a card with no foreign transaction fees saves you the 2.5% fee on every payment.
For travellers with flexible dates, the Calendar view is the fastest way to spot the days when an award takes up to four times fewer points. It doesn't replace checking the program's own website before you transfer points: the data can be a few hours old, and taxes vary widely from one program to another.
To earn the points for these tickets, two cards match the dates found in our test. The TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Card gives you Aeroplan points for the 35,200-point nonstop. The RBC Avion Visa Infinite Card gives you Avion points, which you can convert to AAdvantage miles for the 22,500-point award with a connection.
