IHG One Rewards: 15% Off Reward Nights at New Hotels, Including 7 in Canada

IHG One Rewards is taking 15% off the points needed for a Reward Night at a selection of new and renovated hotels, including 7 in Canada. Each hotel has its own deadline, the latest being March 31, 2027. The discount shows up when you book, with no promo code, as long as you are signed in to your account.
The rule is simple, and you will see it often: IHG adds hotels to this list as they open or reopen after renovations. If you already have a stay planned in Toronto, Vancouver or Quebec's Eastern Townships, you save 15% of the points without changing your plans. Here are the Canadian hotels included, the dates to watch and what the discount is worth.
At an eligible hotel, you pay 15% fewer points for a Reward Night until that hotel's deadline. You must book AND stay before that date.

A few rules to know before you book:
In Canada, the selection leans toward extended-stay brands (Candlewood Suites, Staybridge Suites) and Holiday Inn Express. If you are heading downtown, two addresses stand out: the Holiday Inn Express Toronto Downtown and the Holiday Inn & Suites Vancouver Downtown, which has the most generous deadline.
The table below groups the hotels by their book-and-stay deadline.
| Hotel | City | Book and stay by |
|---|---|---|
| Candlewood Suites Granby Northwest | Granby, Quebec | January 31, 2027 |
| Holiday Inn Express Granby Northwest | Granby, Quebec | January 31, 2027 |
| Candlewood Suites Pembroke | Pembroke, Ontario | February 28, 2027 |
| Staybridge Suites Aurora East | Aurora, Ontario | February 28, 2027 |
| Holiday Inn Express Toronto Downtown | Toronto, Ontario | February 28, 2027 |
| Holiday Inn & Suites Vancouver Downtown | Vancouver, British Columbia | March 31, 2027 |
A seventh hotel, the Candlewood Suites St. John's Conference Centre in Newfoundland and Labrador, also appears on IHG's list, but without a deadline attached. If you are eyeing this hotel, check the points price when you book. For a weekend in the Eastern Townships, the two Granby hotels share the same address and are the first to leave the list, on January 31, 2027.
We value an IHG One Rewards point at 0.7¢. Here is what the 15% discount saves you depending on the nightly price:
Over a 3-night stay at 50,000 points a night, you save 22,500 points, or about $157.50. The discount helps you most if you were already planning to stay in one of these cities. Going out of your way for a hotel on the list only makes sense if its points price was attractive to begin with.

You mostly earn IHG One Rewards points by staying at the group's hotels or by buying points during a promotion. Our article on buying IHG points with a 100% bonus explains the threshold at which buying makes sense.

When the cash price beats the points price, pay for the night with a travel card whose points you can later redeem for other trips. Here are two all-purpose cards to compare; for more options, see our ranking of the best credit cards.
The IHG One Rewards 15% discount is waiting for you, with no code, at 7 new or renovated hotels in Canada, on Reward Nights paid entirely with points. Check your hotel's deadline before booking, sign in to your account, then compare the points price with the cash price. If the night is worth more than 0.7¢ per point after the discount, book with points.
