Air Canada's Signature Suite at Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ) is temporarily closing its doors starting September 30. The exclusive lounge is making way for an expansion project. Air Canada expects a partial reopening in December, with the full construction wrapping up in early 2027.

Why Is the Signature Suite Closing?

Air Canada is expanding the Toronto Signature Suite into the adjacent space near gate E77, in the international departures area. The goal is to offer more room and an upgraded lounge experience once construction wraps up.

What Changes During the Closure

For the next few months, passengers eligible for the Signature Suite are directed to the International Maple Leaf Lounge, with priority access through a dedicated queue. Air Canada is also setting up a temporary grab-and-go stand near gate E85, offering drinks and snacks to go.

Concierge staff and airport signage are being deployed to guide travellers toward these temporary arrangements.

A Pass for the Expanded Signature Suite

Eligible passengers travelling during the closure receive advance notice, along with a pass for a future visit to the expanded Toronto Signature Suite. The pass is issued once the lounge fully reopens, expected in early 2027, and remains valid until December 31, 2028.

The invitation applies to any Air Canada flight to an international destination, regardless of class of service, and can be used by the passenger or a guest.

Normal Access to the Signature Suite

Under normal circumstances, the Signature Suite remains reserved for a very specific clientele: passengers travelling in Signature Class (business class) on a direct Air Canada flight, departing from Toronto or Vancouver, to Europe, Asia or South America, with a ticket booked and issued by Air Canada in an eligible fare class. Certain Star Alliance partners and specific status holders also have access under precise conditions.

The Vancouver (YVR) Signature Suite is not affected by this closure and continues to welcome eligible passengers as usual.

Fallback Options for a Lounge at Pearson Airport
