Any other lounges?

During our one-week mini round-the-world trip, we accessed this lounge as we departed Kuala Lumpur for Singapore. To be honest, we spent only a few minutes here to give you an overview, having preferred to make the most of our 24-hour stopover in Kuala Lumpur.

The segment between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore (a 40-minute flight) was in economy class on a Singapore Airlines A350. Here too, although business-class flights were available earlier in the day (which was the travel class booked for our entire mini round-the-world trip), the flight time we wanted was only available in economy class.

So our choice was limited to the lounges offered by our Priority Pass and LoungeKey subscriptions obtained with our credit cards: we had no access to other business class lounges on Star Alliance!

Our review of the Plaza Premium Lounge

After a 2-3 minute wait, we return to this Plaza Lounge in Kuala Lumpur, which is particularly busy at the end of the day.

Near the entrance is a bar where you will have free access to alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages.

Although particularly busy, the lounge still has several seats in comfortable armchairs.

From this Plaza Premium Lounge, beautiful views are offered on the tarmac, from where you can see the Airbus A350 that will take us to Singapore.

Close to the entrance, there is a buffet separated into two sections.

There are cold and hot dishes, as well as an assortment of different drinks.

The buffet was mainly composed of Asian food. And alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Conclusion

This Plaza Premium Lounge in Kuala Lumpur (international departures) is a place to eat and sit before your flight.

However, because it’s busy it gets noisy, which isn’t ideal for relaxing. That’s worth considering if you have limited visits on your credit card (like the 6 annual visits offered by the Scotiabank Passport™ Visa Infinite + Card).

Since we have unlimited Priority Pass airport lounge access with The Platinum Card from American Express, it wasn’t a problem: we grabbed a few drinks and snacks before heading to our boarding gate for Singapore.
