TD Aeroplan Cards: Earn 5X Points on Streaming and Digital Subscriptions Until October 13, 2027

If you are the primary holder of a TD Aeroplan credit card, you earn 5X the Aeroplan points on your digital subscriptions until October 13, 2027, once you register: Netflix, Spotify, Disney+, Apple, PlayStation, Amazon Prime Video and 18 other merchants. The multiplier applies to $750 in eligible purchases per person, across all your TD Aeroplan cards.
In practice, with the TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Card, every dollar spent on an eligible subscription earns 5 points instead of 1. For bills you already pay every month, that is an easy win.
The offer applies to subscription and digital service purchases made with a TD Aeroplan card at participating merchants. Each card's base earn rate is multiplied by 5 until you reach the $750 cap on eligible purchases.
The conditions to keep in mind:
The multiplier replaces your card's base earn rate rather than adding to it: you earn five times the usual rate, up to the cap. Here is what each card earns you on an eligible subscription, and the approximate total points on $750 in purchases.
| Card | Points per dollar with the 5X offer | Total on $750 in purchases |
|---|---|---|
| TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Card | 5 | 3,750 points |
| TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Privilege Card | 6.25 | about 4,690 points |
| TD Aeroplan Visa Platinum Card | 3.35 | about 2,510 points |
| TD Aeroplan Visa Business Card | 5 | 3,750 points |
Don't look for the bonus points on this month's statement: you receive them in four instalments, within four weeks after each of the four offer periods:
The list covers video streaming, music, video games, software and a few telecom services:
Airalo and Nomad sell travel eSIM data plans, so an eSIM you buy before a trip can also earn you 5X the points. Keep in mind that the merchant name alone is not enough. The purchase must also be coded under one of the eligible Visa merchant category codes (5815 to 5818 or 4899), which is outside your control.
Take a household that spends $50 a month on digital subscriptions, or $600 over a year. With the TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Card:
At the $750 cap, with the TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Privilege Card, you earn about 4,690 points, worth close to $94 at our valuation of 2 cents per Aeroplan point. The amount is modest, but it comes from spending you already do.
You register on Air Canada's offer page: click "Register now" and enter your Aeroplan number. You need an active TD Aeroplan card on which you are the primary cardholder. If you don't have one yet, you can apply, activate the card and then register: the offer stays open until October 13, 2027.
After you register, set your TD Aeroplan card as the payment method for each of your subscriptions. Many services stay tied to an old card for years without you noticing. Watch out for refunds too: a cancelled or refunded purchase removes the points it earned you, bonus points included.
Move your subscriptions to the TD Aeroplan card with the best base earn rate. Since the cap is per person, there is no point splitting purchases across two TD Aeroplan cards: you will not double the cap. Also, if you switch to another eligible TD Aeroplan card during the offer, for example from the Visa Infinite to the Visa Infinite Privilege, you keep the bonus points you have already earned.
If you also pay rent and bills by card, our article on the Chexy and TD Aeroplan offer covers another way to boost earning with the same cards. To compare other options, see our ranking of the best credit cards and the Aeroplan program page.
Register your TD Aeroplan card for the 5X offer now, then move your digital subscriptions to that card. Most households with several subscriptions will fill the $750 cap within a year, and the offer runs until October 13, 2027.
