What the Prepaid Card Is Really Worth

On a 2-night stay, a $250 card works out to $125 per night. With a $150 card, it drops to $75 per night. That math only holds if the room rate is close to what you would pay elsewhere.

So compare the StayVancouverHotels rate with the hotel's own website for the same dates. The hotel with the biggest card is not the best deal if its room costs $150 more.

Points and Elite Nights: Confirm With the Hotel

A StayVancouverHotels booking is not a direct booking with the chain. Earning Marriott Bonvoy, World of Hyatt or Hilton Honors points, and having your status recognized, is therefore not guaranteed by the promotion.

Here is what to do: once you get your confirmation, contact the hotel to add your member number to the reservation, then ask whether this rate earns points and qualifying nights. If elite nights are the main reason for your stay, get that answer before the cancellation deadline.

A December stay counts toward the 2026 qualification year only if the program treats it as eligible. January and February 2027 stays go toward the following year.

The card works anywhere Mastercard is accepted: restaurants, shops, attractions. It has an expiry date, and fees may apply after a period of inactivity. Your best bet is to spend it within 30 days of receiving it, ideally during your stay.
