Loading article…
The partnership between Marriott International and MGM Resorts has transformed how Quebec travelers can enjoy Las Vegas with their Marriott Bonvoy points. The MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy now includes 18 resorts, including 13 directly on the Las Vegas Strip. This is the perfect opportunity to use your points for a memorable experience in one of the most popular destinations in the United States.
On-site, the MGM Rewards program can also help you save on your stays and outings.
In this guide, we review the MGM Las Vegas hotels available via Marriott Bonvoy, their main features, and the best ways to earn points for a stay. To compare card options, also consult the best credit cards for hotels.
Using Marriott Bonvoy Points in Las Vegas
Since the integration of MGM hotels into the Marriott Bonvoy program, members can book their stays directly through Marriott platforms. You can therefore earn points on your paid nights or use your points for free nights. The points rate varies depending on the property, category, and chosen period.
A particularly interesting advantage: the 5th night free. When you book a 5-night stay using points, the fifth night is free. This tip can lead to significant savings in Las Vegas, where many visitors extend their stay. We explain everything in our article Marriott Bonvoy: Stay 5 nights for the price of 4 using Marriott Bonvoy points.
How to earn Marriott Bonvoy points
To build your Marriott Bonvoy points balance, two credit cards are offered in Canada by American Express. Each allows you to earn points on your daily purchases and offers an annual free night.
| Credit card | Annual fee | Welcome offer | |
|---|---|---|---|
| $120 | |||
| $150 |
Another effective strategy is to transfer your American Express Membership Rewards points to Marriott Bonvoy. The transfer ratio is advantageous: every 1,000 Membership Rewards points become 1,200 Marriott Bonvoy points. Several Amex cards allow you to earn this type of points:
- American Express Cobalt Card (groceries and restaurants)
- American Express Platinum Card (travel and hotel status)
- American Express Gold Rewards Card (daily purchases)
| Credit card | Annual fee | Welcome offer | |
