During a couples’ trip to Buenos Aires, we chose to stay at the Recoleta Grand, Tribute Portfolio Hotel, in the beautiful European-style Recoleta neighborhood, known for its elegant and safe atmosphere. The hotel enjoys a prime location for exploring both Recoleta and the neighborhoods further north in the city.
In this detailed review, I share my complete experience: booking with Marriott Bonvoy points, arrival, executive room with views over the Recoleta rooftops, restaurants, rooftop pool, and surroundings.

Booking and points rates
We opted for an all-points booking for this stay, taking advantage of the 5th night free benefit for 4 nights paid. During low season, the property remains relatively accessible in points despite its status and recent renovations.

Location and arrival at the hotel
Located in the elegant Recoleta neighborhood, the hotel is approximately 15 to 20 minutes by taxi from Jorge Newbery Airport (AEP) and approximately 40 to 50 minutes from Ezeiza International Airport (EZE). It is also accessible by several bus lines and is within walking distance of the neighborhood’s main avenues, making travel easy.
Check-In and Lobby
The welcome is warm and highly personalized, with welcome drinks upon arrival. The lobby, with its white marble and high ceilings, creates a true impression of grandeur and allows you to fully savor the moment. Being escorted to the room with luggage adds a thoughtful touch that is greatly appreciated. A « wow » arrival, elegant and personal, just as I like them.

The Room: Executive Room
The executive room, while slightly narrow, features elegant and well-designed furniture, with modern and practical connectivity outlets. The view over the Recoleta rooftops reinforces this « Paris of the South » impression, in keeping with the neighborhood’s atmosphere.

Upon our arrival, small touches had been placed on the desk to mark our anniversary, a delicate surprise. The bathroom is refined, with quality products, continuing the hotel’s polished style.

Restaurants and Dining
The hotel brings together several dining venues, from refined breakfast in a bright lobby to a casual café open all day.
The Atrium
Breakfast is served daily in a large, bright lounge starting at 6:30 AM. This is where the main morning experience takes place, with an incredibly soothing atmosphere. The buffet is particularly refined and highlights fresh products.

Café de Prensa
Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, this is a more casual space, ideal for coffee, a snack, or a simple meal during the day.

Mansión Mihura
A restaurant offering a gastronomic experience, coming in 2026, which I did not have the chance to try during my stay.
Pool and Services
The hotel offers a relaxation-oriented experience with an outdoor pool on the terrace, providing a beautiful view of the neighborhood and surrounding rooftops. The space allows you to relax between visits, although renovations are planned starting in 2026 to modernize the entire area. A well-equipped fitness center is also available for active travelers.

Around the Hotel
Located in the elegant Recoleta neighborhood, the hotel allows easy walking access to the famous Recoleta Cemetery, several museums, and numerous avenues lined with cafés and restaurants. The neighborhood is well-suited for strolling, with a safe and refined atmosphere. The El Ateneo Grand Splendid bookstore, housed in a former theater, is also worth a visit. Overall impression and final rating
A wonderful couples’ experience in an elegant and refined setting in the heart of Recoleta. The attentive and personalized service clearly made the stay memorable, with a genuine effort to make guests feel welcome.
