We stayed at the Delta Hotels Quebec for a training workshop led by Jean-Maximilien, accompanied by Jean-François and our guest Poly, founder of the website Les Wonderlusters.

In this review, we share our complete experience: booking, upgraded room, services reserved for Marriott Bonvoy Elite members, and dining. To compare this hotel with other options, also consult The Best Credit Cards for Hotels – April 2026.

Booking

Thanks to our Titanium Elite status obtained via Marriott Bonvoy, we benefited from an upgrade to a high-floor room. This status also gave us access to several benefits reserved for Elite members, which we discuss later.

Location

The hotel is located on René-Lévesque East Boulevard, in the immediate vicinity of the gates of Old Quebec and about twenty minutes from Quebec City Jean Lesage International Airport.

Around the Hotel

The Delta Hotels Quebec is located a few minutes’ walk from the Quebec City Convention Centre. All around, you’ll find the restaurants and cafes of Saint-Jean Street, an SAQ, several shops, and grocery stores.

Furthermore, its location is ideal for visiting the city. Nearby, you can see the Parliament Building of Quebec, the Observatoire de la Capitale, Porte Saint-Louis (which leads to Old Quebec), the Plains of Abraham Museum, and the Citadelle of Quebec.

The reception desk

Upon our arrival, several guests were waiting to check in. The reception lobby is spacious, but it lacks warmth for our taste. It feels like the hotel hosts many professional events, which explains its very classic decor. Nothing flashy, few design elements highlighted. Escalators on each side provide access to the meeting rooms upstairs, in addition to the elevators.

Our Room

We received a King bed room on a high floor. The room is beautiful: modern, in sober shades of gray, beige, with a few touches of purple. It invites relaxation and contrasts with the ambiance of the lobby.

At the entrance, a wardrobe opens onto the bathroom. Next to it, a tray allows for tea and coffee preparation.

Beyond the King bed, the room features a loveseat area by the window, as well as a desk area with luggage storage. A flat-screen TV faces the bed. A mini-fridge is installed in a corner of the room.

The bathroom

The bathroom is modern, clean and well-lit. It features a shower with a sliding door that opens from both sides. However, we would have liked the hotel to offer refillable amenity containers rather than single-use formats, from a more ecological perspective.

The hotel services

The Elite PANTRY (3rd floor)

The Club lounge, formerly located on the 12th floor, has been replaced by an Elite PANTRY installed on the 3rd floor. This new space is accessible 24 hours a day to Bonvoy Elite Platinum, Titanium, and Ambassador members.

Breakfast at the Bistro

Bonvoy Platinum, Titanium, and Ambassador members also benefit from an included breakfast at the Bistro, located on the 3rd floor. The offer does not cover the entire menu, but the eligible items are clearly indicated and numerous enough to satisfy all tastes.

Depending on occupancy, a buffet may also be offered, which adds even more variety. You can consult the full Bistro menu before your arrival.

Dinner at the Bistro

In the evening, we had dinner at Le Bistro restaurant at Delta Hotels Quebec. Great service, very well presented dishes. We have fond memories of a wonderful evening thanks to the attentive staff. This is an address we recommend.

The pool

We did not take advantage of the heated pool, as it is located outdoors.

The Fitness Room

A very well-equipped fitness room completes the hotel’s service offerings.

Other Services

Moreover, the Delta Hotels Quebec is very close to the Quebec City Convention Centre, making it a relevant choice for team meetings. In total, 14 event rooms are available, perfect for hosting seminars and conferences.

Our overall impression of the hotel

An ideal location, warm service provided by the staff, and an inviting room: this is what we remember from this beautiful Delta hotel located in Quebec City. The new 24/7 accessible Elite PANTRY and the breakfast included at the Bistro for Bonvoy Platinum and higher members bring real added value for travelers loyal to Marriott Bonvoy.

Finally, it’s worth noting that the hotel accepts pets. To discover other inspiring addresses, take a look at The 10 Best All-Inclusive Marriott Bonvoy Hotels Worldwide and The 7 Best Marriott Hotels with Spas.

The Marriott Bonvoy® American Express®* Card is the best credit card in Canada for free hotel nights.

New Cardmembers can earn up to 110,000 Marriott Bonvoy® points with the current offer:

  • Earn 80,000 points after you spend $6,000 on your Card in your first 6 months of Cardmembership.
  • Plus, earn 30,000 points by making a purchase during your 15th month of Cardmembership.

This offer ends on September 22, 2026. The annual fee is $120, and there is no annual fee on Additional Cards, so you can add a partner or a family member at no extra cost.

Every year after your first Card anniversary, you receive an Annual Free Night Award good for a redemption of up to 35,000 points at eligible hotels and resorts worldwide. At a valuation of 0.9 cents per Marriott Bonvoy point, that certificate is worth roughly $315, which on its own more than covers the $120 annual fee. That is the main reason to keep this Card year after year instead of cancelling it.

To get the most out of the certificate, aim it at a night that would otherwise price close to the 35,000 point ceiling.

The Card also gives you 15 Elite Night Credits each calendar year and automatic Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite status. Those credits count toward the next Elite tier, so you begin every year 15 nights ahead of where you would otherwise start.

You move up to Gold Elite status automatically when you reach $30,000 in purchases on the Card in a year, or when you combine 10 qualifying paid nights within one calendar year with the 15 Elite Night Credits from your Card.

Marriott Bonvoy points are generally valued at 0.9 cents each. On that basis, the 110,000 point welcome offer is worth about $990, and an Annual Free Night Award used at its full 35,000 point ceiling is worth about $315.

Marriott Bonvoy points pull their weight on free nights rather than on gift cards or merchandise, which is why this Card should be judged on the hotel stays it produces.

You earn 5 points per dollar on eligible purchases at participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels and 2 points per dollar on all other purchases. Points can be redeemed for free nights with no blackout dates at more than 7,000 hotels around the world.

The Card carries a solid package of coverages: $500,000 travel accident insurance, flight delay, baggage delay, lost or stolen baggage and hotel or motel burglary at $500 each, car rental theft and damage up to $85,000 for rentals of up to 48 days, Purchase Protection for 90 days and a one year Extended Warranty.

Two things to plan around: the 2.5% foreign transaction fee on purchases made in a foreign currency, and the 21.99% purchase interest rate, which makes this a Card to pay in full every month. Like all American Express Canada Cards, no minimum income is published for this Card, and you can see whether you would be approved before you apply, with no impact on your credit score.
