Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Waterpark, Dubai Marina is a good option when you want to come to Dubai and relax with your family. Here is its service offer.

Booking: Le Méridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Waterpark, Dubai Marina

Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Waterpark, Dubai Marina is a category 5 hotel, available from 35,000 points per night.

Jean-Maximilien stayed at this hotel twice: the first time using a free night certificate obtained with the Marriott Bonvoy Business American Express® Card. The second one using points.

During our first booking for the Dubai Airshow, he got us a very nice upgrade to the Presidential Suite, after negotiating through chat but also by email. Jean-Maximilien also told them that we were celebrating an event.

When making a second reservation, no upgrade was possible, as the hotel was full.

The Marriott Bonvoy® American Express®* Card is the best credit card in Canada for free hotel nights.

New Cardmembers can earn up to 110,000 Marriott Bonvoy® points with the current offer:

  • Earn 80,000 points after you spend $6,000 on your Card in your first 6 months of Cardmembership.
  • Plus, earn 30,000 points by making a purchase during your 15th month of Cardmembership.

This offer ends on September 22, 2026. The annual fee is $120, and there is no annual fee on Additional Cards, so you can add a partner or a family member at no extra cost.

Every year after your first Card anniversary, you receive an Annual Free Night Award good for a redemption of up to 35,000 points at eligible hotels and resorts worldwide. At a valuation of 0.9 cents per Marriott Bonvoy point, that certificate is worth roughly $315, which on its own more than covers the $120 annual fee. That is the main reason to keep this Card year after year instead of cancelling it.

To get the most out of the certificate, aim it at a night that would otherwise price close to the 35,000 point ceiling.

The Card also gives you 15 Elite Night Credits each calendar year and automatic Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite status. Those credits count toward the next Elite tier, so you begin every year 15 nights ahead of where you would otherwise start.

You move up to Gold Elite status automatically when you reach $30,000 in purchases on the Card in a year, or when you combine 10 qualifying paid nights within one calendar year with the 15 Elite Night Credits from your Card.

Marriott Bonvoy points are generally valued at 0.9 cents each. On that basis, the 110,000 point welcome offer is worth about $990, and an Annual Free Night Award used at its full 35,000 point ceiling is worth about $315.

Marriott Bonvoy points pull their weight on free nights rather than on gift cards or merchandise, which is why this Card should be judged on the hotel stays it produces.

You earn 5 points per dollar on eligible purchases at participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels and 2 points per dollar on all other purchases. Points can be redeemed for free nights with no blackout dates at more than 7,000 hotels around the world.

The Card carries a solid package of coverages: $500,000 travel accident insurance, flight delay, baggage delay, lost or stolen baggage and hotel or motel burglary at $500 each, car rental theft and damage up to $85,000 for rentals of up to 48 days, Purchase Protection for 90 days and a one year Extended Warranty.

Two things to plan around: the 2.5% foreign transaction fee on purchases made in a foreign currency, and the 21.99% purchase interest rate, which makes this a Card to pay in full every month. Like all American Express Canada Cards, no minimum income is published for this Card, and you can see whether you would be approved before you apply, with no impact on your credit score.

Photo report from the Presidential Suite

Lounge

The Presidential Suite is the same size as the hotel’s Club Lounge.

The lounge is vast, sober and chic at the same time. The purple hues awaken the decor. We can easily have people over, up to 6. A bar is even available if you want to call on a bartender for a more lively evening.

The bay windows offer a beautiful view of the sea and the facilities.

Bedroom

As we had said we were there to celebrate an event – 11 years of marriage (the symbolic milestone of 10 years couldn’t really be celebrated abroad) – the hotel surprised us with a beautiful decoration on the bed and in the bathroom. The room is spacious and chic, just like the lounge with wood-coloured walls and light furniture.

There is a desk with a large mirror above and a small lounge area.

Bathroom

The bathroom is classic, large and in shades of beige. There is a corner bathtub as well as a shower and toilet. A water closet is also available for guests, accessible through the lounge.

Terrace

Finally the big advantage of this suite, is its large private terrace, allowing us to enjoy the view and relax. The water games in the water park can spoil the atmosphere a bit, but it is still a very nice terrace.

Services: Le Méridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Waterpark, Dubai Marina

The Le Méridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Waterpark, Dubai MarinaThe Kids Club is open 7 days a week for children from 4 to 12 years of age with a music room, lego wall, sand games, bicycles, soccer, etc. Reservations are required. The offer has changed a little due to COVID-19.

In addition, there are two indoor children’s pools with a water park, The Jungle Bay: children can have fun in the Lighthouse course with races in the enclosed water tubes, slide or enjoy the 6-meter waves. Lifeguards are watching.

The Westin has a children’s pool as well.

In addition to these features for children, the offer in restaurants is very large because of the proximity of both hotels:

  • Mina’s Kitchen, all day;
  • El Sur, open in the evening, for tapas or sea food;
  • Baba, open in the evening, offers mezze and grilled meat;
  • Sui Mi, open in the evening, for an Asian experience;
  • Bounty Beets, open in the evening for healthy organic food;
  • Fish, lunch/dinner
  • Latitude 25, for lunch/dinner in a relaxing setting
  • Bussola, open for lunch/dinner offering 3 types of Italian cuisine
  • Barasti, open in the morning for cocktails or dishes
  • Horizon, by the pool
  • Latest Recipe, open in the morning
  • Pool bar open during the day

As a Marriott Bonvoy Elite member, access to the Lounge is also very interesting, both in the morning and in the evening as it offers a variety of delicious dishes.

We took advantage of the Latest Recipe’s breakfast terrace and were not disappointed by the offer. Viennese pastries, waffles, pancakes, cereals, rolls, juices, through, eggs, vegetables, salads, homemade yoghurts and fruits, enough to be quite full!

Review : Le Méridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Waterpark, Dubai Marina | Marriott Bonvoy - Le Méridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Waterpark-26

On site, in addition to the shaded children’s pool, Le Méridien offers the Horizon pool, a lap pool and whirlpools, as well as lounge areas around the pools and on the lawn.

On the beach, a water sports center offers activities such as paddle, kayak, sails, pedal boats, etc.

You can enjoy the Westin’s pools, its spa – the Heavenly Spa – or its beachfront facilities.

Finally, the hotel offers cardio equipment at the Mina Club with personalized workouts, a fitness studio, tennis courts and swimming lessons. The center is closed on Mondays.

Overall impression: Le Méridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Waterpark, Dubai Marina

Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Waterpark, Dubai Marina is as we said, perfect for families. You could spend your whole stay there as there are so many things to help you relax.
