To the point To complete our series on Quebec City hotels, here is our report on the Delta Hotels Quebec.

Well before the COVID era, in November 2019, we had stayed at the Delta Hotels Quebec to take part in the training workshop given by Jean-Maximilien and Jean-François, with the late afternoon guest, Poly, founder of the site Les Wonderlusters.

Caroline and her family, as well as Brigitte, chose to stay at this hotel as well.

Booking

Thanks to our Titanium Elite status with Marriott Bonvoy, we were able to upgrade to a high floor room. This one also had the advantage of giving us access to the Club lounge located on the 12th floor and thus to benefit from the free food offered during the day: continental breakfast, hors d’oeuvres and non-alcoholic drinks.

Before you come, find out what the hotel has done about its services as a result of the COVID-19 situation.

Location

The hotel is located on Boulevard René-Lévesque E, close to the gates of Quebec City’s old town and about 20 minutes from Quebec City’s Jean-Lesage International Airport.

Around the hotel

The Delta Hotels Quebec is within walking distance of the Quebec City Convention center, as well as the restaurants and cafés of St-Jean Street, the SAQ and the grocery stores.

Moreover, its location is ideal for visits to the city: in the vicinity, you will find the Quebec Parliament Building, the Observatoire de la Capitale, the Saint-Louis Gate to access Old Quebec, the Plains of Abraham Museum and the Citadel of Quebec.

The reception desk

When we arrived, there were a few customers waiting for the check-in. The reception hall is large but lacks warmth in my opinion, which is a shame. You can feel that the hotel actually hosts many events and therefore the decoration is very classic. Nothing flashy, no decorations that are put forward. There are escalators on both sides to access the meeting rooms on the floor and lifts.

Our room

We were assigned a room with a king bed on a high floor. The room was beautiful: modern, in sober shades of grey, beige and some touches of purple. It invites you to relax and contrasts with what we saw in the hall.

First, there is a wardrobe at the entrance and an opening to the bathroom as well as a tray to prepare tea and coffee.

In addition to the king bed, there is a loveseat area in front of the window and a desk area with associated storage for suitcases.

A flat-screen TV faces the bed and a fridge is set-tup in a corner of the room, quite far from the rest.

The bathroom

The bathroom is modern, clean and well-lit. There is shower with a sliding door that opens on both sides. We would have liked the hotel to offer refillable and not single-use care containers in the spirit of ecology.

Breakfast

During our stay, thanks to our Titanium Elite status, we had access to the Club lounge of the Delta Hotels Quebec, which is on a high floor and allowed us to enjoy a beautiful view of the city. Very nice. The lounge is therefore very bright.

A work area was available in the Club lounge in addition to the space available in the hotel lobby.

The breakfast is offered in the form of a cold buffet except for scrambled eggs. Simple but adequate to start the day.

The advantage of the Club lounge is that we were the only ones to use it when we were there, at least with Brigitte, Caroline and her family. Apart from breakfast, biscuits and small snacks were offerred at all hours of the day as well as some non-alcoholic drinks in the fridge.

Dinner

That evening we had dinner at the Restaurant le Bistro of Delta Hotels Quebec. Great service, very well presented dishes. The children were served in advance. We kept the memory of a very nice evening thanks to the staff; we recommend it.

The pool

We did not use the heated pool as it was outside, but Caroline and her family enjoyed spending time there. The children, she told us, loved the huge clouds of steam coming out of the pool.

The gym

A well-equipped fitness room completed the service offer.

Other services

The Delta Hotels Quebec being close to the Quebec City Convention center, it’s perfect for team meetings. A total of 14 event rooms are available. It is therefore perfect for seminars, for example.

Our general impression of the hotel

A hotel with an ideal location, a pleasant and warm service from the staff and an inviting and cozy room, that’s what we will remember of this beautiful Delta hotel located in Quebec City.

Finally, you should know that the hotel accepts pets!
