This photo report is part of our series of articles on our mini round-the-world trip in one week.
After spending the night at The Vagabond Club, Singapore, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel (using a free-night certificate from the Marriott Bonvoy American Express Card), then touring Singapore, we are now on our way to Japan.
After we check in, head to security. In business class, you have access to the priority security lines: the passage will therefore be very fast.
At Singapore’s Changi Airport, there are many lounges accessible with Priority Pass or Lounge Key, in Terminals 1, 2, 3 and 4.
From where we take off tonight, at Terminal 2, there are for example 3 accessible lounges:
However, we will not use the unlimited access offered by the American Express Platinum Card or one of the 6 accesses offered by our Scotiabank Passport™ Visa Infinite + Card.
Tonight, as we travel in Business Class on All Nippon Airways (ANA) – which is a Star Alliance airline – we automatically have access to Singapore Airlines’ SilverKris.
The access to the SilverKris will be quick, by simply presenting our boarding pass to SilverKris.
At the entrance of the lounge, there are offices for people who wish to work, as I will be after a day’s visit to Singapore.
If you wish to isolate yourself to make a phone call, booths are provided for this purpose.
This lounge is very large, with 2 clearly separated areas:
The lounge SilverKris in Singapore has plenty of seats to relax in. When we arrived around 9pm, this one was well stocked, but still pleasant. An hour later, the lounge was empty.
Airline lounges are generally well equipped when it comes to the food and drinks on offer. The SilverKris lounge is no exception to the rule.
Knowing that our flight was going to take off shortly before midnight, we therefore had our meal in the lounge to make the most of our sleep time on the plane.
In any case, All Nippon Airways had planned things well on this overnight flight: the meal would be served just before landing, allowing us to rest well during the flight.
Here are all the dishes available: there is something for every taste!
Naturally, lovers of Asian and Indian cuisine will be delighted!
But there are also other more western dishes:
As well as cheeses and desserts:
Next to the buffet, magazines and newspapers are available for consultation during your meal.
It is always nice to find in a lounge, especially before a night flight, showers available! This is the case of this lounge SilverKris from Singapore.
We spent 2 hours in this lounge and it fulfilled its mission perfectly:
If you are travelling in business class on a Star Alliance airline, or are a Star Alliance Gold member, we can only encourage you to discover this lounge on a stopover in Singapore!
