Xiamen Airlines, also known as XiamenAir, is expanding its nonstop Vancouver (YVR)–Xiamen (XMN) service in fall 2026. The airline increases from two to three flights a week starting October 29, 2026.
A third weekly Vancouver–Xiamen flight
YVR’s October 5, 2026 announcement confirms one additional weekly Xiamen Airlines flight from October 29. This increase strengthens an existing route between Canada and mainland China.
| Nonstop route | Announced frequency | Change | Effective date |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vancouver (YVR) – Xiamen (XMN) | 3 flights a week | 1 additional weekly flight | October 29, 2026 |
This is the program announced for fall 2026. It does not guarantee the same frequency throughout 2027. To compare the service with other airlines, see our Canada–China nonstop flights overview.
Booking and checking the schedule
Use Xiamen Airlines’ official website to search your itinerary. YVR’s release confirms the effective date and frequency without listing operating days, departure times or fares. Check the schedule for your selected travel dates.
For an onward destination, compare connection times in Xiamen and the conditions of the complete ticket. If you are positioning to Vancouver on a separate ticket, also consider baggage, formalities and the time between the two bookings.
Xiamen Airlines, SkyTeam and Flying Blue
SkyTeam identifies XiamenAir as an alliance member; its own loyalty program is Egret Club. Canadian travellers can also consider Flying Blue.
The official Flying Blue Xiamen Air partner page provides for earning Miles and XP on eligible tickets. Earnings depend in part on booking class and the airline codes shown on your ticket. Not every booking class qualifies.
Flying Blue also allows Miles redemptions on Xiamen Air, subject to award availability. A seat offered for cash does not establish that an award seat is available. Run an award search before transferring points.
The Air France KLM World Elite Mastercard is a Canadian option for earning Flying Blue Miles. Compare its current offer and conditions against your spending habits; holding the card does not guarantee an award ticket on this route.
