Sichuan Airlines’ announced fall 2026 program includes two flights a week at Vancouver. The current service connects Vancouver (YVR) with Chengdu-Tianfu (TFU). This page brings together schedule and booking information for 2026-2027 travel.
Vancouver–Chengdu: the fall 2026 program
YVR’s official October 5, 2026 release lists two weekly Sichuan Airlines flights in the program for the end of October. It does not describe the service as a new route or an increase.

Our Canada–China nonstop flights overview compares Sichuan with other airlines at Vancouver. For travel beyond Chengdu, search the final destination to check the connections actually offered.
Booking and distinguishing Chengdu’s airports
Use Sichuan Airlines’ official international website to check flights, fares, and conditions for your chosen dates. Operational flight pages change, so confirm the schedule in your reservation before departure.
Chengdu’s airports include Tianfu (TFU) and Shuangliu (CTU). Check the airport code on each segment. A ticket arriving at TFU does not establish that an onward flight from CTU is a connection within the same airport.
If you are positioning to Vancouver from another Canadian city on a separate ticket, compare both reservations’ schedules and conditions. Check baggage handling and formalities before buying the onward itinerary.
Checking in at Vancouver
Sichuan Airlines’ official Vancouver check-in cutoff notice states that, since November 1, 2025, the deadline has moved from 45 to 60 minutes before scheduled departure. This is not a recommended airport arrival time. Allow time for bags and security, then check the instructions on your ticket.
Bank points and the travel budget
For a comparison between a paid ticket and bank points, see our TD Rewards guide. Check the program’s redemption conditions and eligible expenses. These are separate from airline award-ticket rules.
The TD First Class Travel Visa Infinite Card is an option to assess against your needs. Its inclusion here does not guarantee that a particular booking platform sells the flight or that a specific redemption is eligible.
