Radisson Rewards

Radisson Rewards lets you earn points and receive benefits at participating Radisson Hotel Group properties. For Canadians, the first step is to check which program the hotel participates in. Properties formerly under Radisson Hotels Americas belong to Choice Privileges, while Radisson Rewards covers Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific, and Brazil, among its participating markets.

This guide follows the official terms effective October 6, 2026. They explain brand-specific earn rates, the phased addition of Louvre Hotels Group properties, Club, Premium and VIP status, and the rules for using points and keeping them active.

Radisson Rewards or Choice Privileges?

Choice integrated the hotels and loyalty program of Radisson Hotels Americas in 2023. Its integration announcement confirms the move of those hotels to its booking platforms and the addition of their members to Choice Privileges. Use Choice Privileges and the corresponding account for those properties.

Living in Canada does not prevent you from joining Radisson Rewards for travel within its participating network. However, a Radisson name on a hotel does not establish which program applies. The October 2026 Radisson terms also include Brazil, so a simple Americas-versus-rest-of-the-world rule is too broad.

Joining and managing your account

Membership is open to individuals who have reached the age of majority where they live. You may hold only one Radisson Rewards account. Register through the official website, then check your name, address, and email before booking.

Sign in to your Radisson Rewards account to review your balance, stays, and preferences. Add your membership number to the reservation and keep the confirmation and final bill. You must be the registered guest staying at the property to receive your status benefits.

Earning Radisson Rewards points

Eligible spending and currency

Earn rates are stated in points per eligible U.S. dollar, rather than Canadian dollar. Radisson converts spending in other currencies at its own exchange rate. You must book an eligible room rate; taxes and several incidental charges do not earn points.

Eligible food and beverage purchases can also earn points at selected properties when charged to your room and paid at checkout. The current terms exclude points on alcohol and tobacco products. Keep an itemized bill rather than applying the earn rate to your entire payment.

Earn rates by brand

The following table shows ordinary rates without Discount Booster. Louvre Hotels Group properties participate only from their applicable launch date and subject to the property's actual eligibility.

For the first brand group, USD 100 in eligible spending would therefore earn:

• Club: 800 points.
• Premium: 2,700 points.
• VIP: 3,600 points.

These examples exclude promotions and assume the full USD 100 is eligible. They do not represent a guaranteed cash rebate.

Louvre Hotels launches in phases

The October 6, 2026 terms set out a phased schedule. As of this guide’s verification, the later dates below remain announced launches rather than benefits already available:

• October 6, 2026: including Royal Tulip, Golden Tulip, Tulip Hotels & Residences, Tulip Inn, Sarovar Premiere, Sarovar Portico, and Hometel.
• November 3, 2026: Première Classe.
• November 24, 2026: Kyriad and its participating variants.
• January 12, 2027: Campanile, including Campanile Prime and Campanile Nature.

Check the individual property before booking. Radisson says booking channels, benefits, and points payment options may become available at different times. Première Classe, Kyriad Direct, and Kyriad Eco are scheduled to participate through a simplified arrangement offering up to 5% off eligible rates, with no earning or use of points.

Discount Booster reduces earning

Discount Booster is an option for Premium and VIP members that must be selected in the account before booking. It may offer up to 20% off eligible rates, in return for a lower points earn rate. Some promotional rates and negotiated Long Stay Rates are excluded.

With Booster, the rates per eligible U.S. dollar become:

• Main Radisson brand group: 9 points for Premium and 12 for VIP.
• Prize by Radisson and the half-rate group: 4.5 points for Premium and 6 for VIP.
• Golden Tulip and the middle earn-rate group: 6.3 points for Premium and 8.5 for VIP.

Compare quotes for the same room, dates, and cancellation terms. The discount may reduce eligible spending as well as the earn rate. The better choice depends on the immediate savings and how you would use the additional points.

Booking rules and missing points

Online travel agency bookings, such as Expedia or Booking reservations, generally do not qualify for points and member benefits. The terms allow specific exceptions expressly recognized by Radisson, but you should not assume one applies. A rate offered on the official website may also carry exclusions, so read its conditions before paying.

Points from an eligible stay become usable after checkout, full payment, and posting to your account. Radisson allows 7 to 10 days after departure for posting. Under the terms, a missing-points claim must reach Radisson with supporting documents within 12 months of the activity concerned.

Club, Premium and VIP status

Status thresholds use eligible nights or stays within a 12-month qualification period. Consecutive nights at the same property make up one stay. Checking out and back in on consecutive days does not create separate stays for status progression.

Your qualification period

Check the period and counters shown in your account. When you move to a higher tier, the nights or stays used for that upgrade are deducted and a new period begins. Renewal depends on the requirements for that period, so you should not automatically apply a calendar-year calculation.

Only the room where you are staying counts toward your status qualification. The terms allow points to be earned for up to three rooms under specific conditions. That does not mean each of those rooms provides you with its own status credit.

Benefits have property-specific conditions

Upgrades, early check-in, and late checkout depend on availability and property participation. Several brands and rate types are excluded from upgrades. The terms describe early arrival and late departure as up to two hours before or after the property's usual times, subject to availability.

The VIP breakfast benefit covers the member and one other guest registered in the same room at participating properties. It does not extend to every room you book. Long Stay Rates and other situations are excluded; in Asia-Pacific, the benefit is limited to buffet breakfast. Check the actual inclusion before counting it as a saving.

Using points and calculating value

Paying for a hotel stay

Check available options on the official points-use page. Sign in, choose a property and room, then review points payment options during booking. The terms also allow eligible payments at the hotel starting at 10 points, which does not mean a full night costs 10 points.

A Points-Only Rate depends on availability and the points price shown for the booking. There is no universal points amount to quote for a free night. You must have enough points when confirming the reservation, although you can view availability without already holding the required balance.

Read the cancellation deadline for your rate. Unless the booking specifies otherwise, the general terms provide for points to be returned when you cancel at least seven days before arrival. A late cancellation or no-show may forfeit them. Points-Only Rate reservations do not earn points or tier credits unless an express exception applies.

Work out your actual savings

Points do not have a cash value you can withdraw. To evaluate a booking, divide the amount actually saved by the points used, then multiply by 100 to express the result in cents. Compare equivalent rooms, taxes, fees, and cancellation terms.

This is a hypothetical example, rather than a quoted hotel rate or an estimate of the program’s average points value. An editorial valuation, such as Milesopedia’s displayed reference, is a comparison tool. It does not replace Radisson’s quote or guarantee an exchange rate. Subtract any remaining cash charges before calculating your savings.

Points expiry and transfers

Points expire after 24 months without qualifying earning or use of points. The October 2026 terms explicitly say that transfers between accounts do not extend that period. Do not rely on moving points to keep a balance active, even though a summary in the FAQ still mentions transfers.

Transfers within the program require the relevant accounts to have existed for more than 30 days. Monthly limits apply to the number of transfer partners and points received. Check the rules before making a transfer; a transfer within Radisson Rewards does not move points to Choice Privileges.

Credit cards and Premium status

The previous guide presented the American Express Platinum Card^® as an automatic path to Premium. The current Canadian card benefits reviewed list Hilton Honors Gold and Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite, without confirming Radisson Premium access. The old Canadian Radisson benefit page also states that Radisson Rewards Americas Gold ended as a card benefit on June 30, 2023.

We therefore do not present this card as a guarantee of Radisson status. Its basic annual fee is CAD 799, as checked in Milesopedia’s catalogue and on the official page. If your American Express account shows a separate offer, verify the market, enrolment requirements, duration, and conditions before relying on it.

Our view on Radisson Rewards

Radisson Rewards is most useful to assess for stays you already plan to make at participating properties. Premium requires relatively few eligible stays, but benefits still depend on the property and rate. Discount Booster can be more useful than extra points when an immediate saving better suits how you travel.
