The Best Western Rewards program is not complicated to use. It is mainly aimed at travellers who wish to control their accommodation budget without staying in high-end hotels.
The program includes more than 4,200 hotels worldwide, in more than 100 countries, with 13 different brands.

How to earn Best Western Rewards points
You can earn Best Western Rewards points in many ways:
- With hotel stays
- With car rentals
With hotel stays
Best Western Rewards points’ earning depends of:
- your status
- the amount spent
So, as a basic member, you can earn 10 points per dollar.
Then, depending on your status, you’ll earn more points (10% more for Gold members to 50% more for Diamond Select members).
With car rentals
Most of the major car rental companies are partners with Best Western, so you can easily earn Best Western points for your car rental.

Redeeming Best Western Rewards points
For free hotel nights
As with any hotel program, Best Western Rewards is designed so that points earned can be redeemed for stays at Best Western hotels.
The number of points to get a free hotel night depends on:
- the property
- the location
- the time of year
So it’s a variable cost schedule. However, the chart has 11 tiers,so a free hotel night costs between 8,000 points and 70,000 Best Western Rewards points.
To get airline miles
You can also transfer your Best Western Rewards points to another rewards program such as Aeroplan, AIR MILES or American AAdvantage.

These experiences are as varied as:

Finally, it is possible – but not recommended – to use your Best Western Rewards points to buy gift cards.
Transferring Best Western Rewards points between accounts
You can transfer your points from one account to another, free of charge! You have to call Best Western Rewards Customer Service.
The only condition: Best Western Rewards accounts must be at the same address.

Best Western Rewards Status
There are 5 levels of Best Western Rewards status:
- Blue
- Gold
- Platinum

The Best Western Rewards program is probably the simplest hotel program available. Given the group’s overall presence, it is generally straightforward to get free nights in Best Western hotels.
