The BMO Blue Rewards World Elite Business Mastercard (formerly AIR MILES) earns a base rate of 1.25 Blue points per dollar on all purchases.
It offers 2.5 points per dollar on gas and electric vehicle charging (up to $1,000 in net purchases per statement cycle), and 10 times the points (12.5 pts/$) at Blue Rewards partners (Pharmasave, Global Pet Foods, etc.) and through the Blue Rewards Travel platform powered by Expedia, up to $25,000 in net purchases per calendar year. Beyond that cap, purchases earn the base rate.
Benefits: Mastercard Travel Pass (DragonPass) membership with 4 lounge passes per year, 5 Maple consultations, travel insurance (medical, rental car collision, cancellation/interruption), purchase protection, and extended warranty. $175 annual fee (waived in the first year).
The card earns 12.5 Blue Points per $1 at participating Blue Rewards Partners, 2.5 Points per $1 on gas and electric vehicle charging, and 1.25 Points per $1 on all other purchases.
The 12.5-point rate combines the base rate of 1.25 Points per $1 with an 11.25-point bonus — it is the “10x the Points” multiplier applied to the business base rate.
Yes. Bonus Points at participating Blue Rewards Partners are earned on up to $25,000 in net purchases per calendar year. Once that maximum is reached, partner purchases earn only the base rate of 1.25 Points per $1.
This annual cap replaced the previous $1,000 per statement cycle limit. It more than doubles the accelerated spending allowed, and it can be used in a single month rather than spread across twelve.
Yes, and that cap has not changed: the 2.5 Points per $1 rate applies to up to $1,000 in net purchases per statement cycle at service stations, automated fuel dispensers and EV charging merchants.
One nuance: fuel bought at a Blue Rewards Partner is not eligible for this rate — it earns the more generous 10x partner rate instead.
Up to $1,760 in value in the first year, including 120,000 bonus points across three milestones: 45,000 Points after $5,000 in net purchases within 110 days, 30,000 Points after $18,000 within 180 days, and 45,000 Points after $35,000 within 365 days.
The package also includes the first-year waiver of the $175 annual fee, up to $520 in value with Maple, and up to $268 with Mastercard Travel Pass.
The window is short: applications must be received between June 2 and September 6, 2026 — unlike the no-fee business version, whose offer runs until June 2027.
Five free virtual care visits on Maple per calendar year, a complimentary Mastercard Travel Pass provided by DragonPass membership with four lounge passes per calendar year (US$32 per visit thereafter), Dominion Automobile Association roadside assistance, travel insurance (emergency medical, rental car collision, trip cancellation and interruption), purchase protection and extended warranty.
Worth noting: unlike the Ascend World Elite Business Mastercard, this card does not include a NEXUS statement credit. And the $50 fee for each Additional Card added during the first year is charged on a prorated basis, with no rebate.
