Are you a fan of double-doubles and Tim Hortons donuts?
The Tim’s Rewards loyalty program allows you to accumulate points every time you visit Tim Hortons and then redeem them for free menu items.
Plus, members of Tim’s Rewards program get a surprise on their birthday!
Here’s everything you need to know to make the most of your Tim’s Rewards points.
To earn Tims Rewards points, you must and sign up to be a member:
For example, for a $10 order, you’ll earn 100 points. If you spend $2.85, you’ll earn 29 points (rounded up). The points will be added to your account within 24 hours of your purchase.
In addition, Tim Hortons offers promotions that allow you to earn bonus points for food on the menu or during special events, such as the holidays or for new products.
If scanning your Tims Rewards card didn’t work and you didn’t receive the points, go to your profile and use the Support and Contact Us feature. Write your message explaining why you did not receive your points and keep your receipt in case Customer Service asks for it.
Another great way to earn Tims Rewards points much faster is with one of their credit cards. For example, the Tims® Mastercard gives you :
So, if you make a $10 transaction at Tim Hortons with a Tim Hortons credit card, you earn:
Total: 150 points. You scored a double-double!
There are 7 levels of point redemption, depending on the free menu item:
Since 10 points are given for each dollar spent, it’s as if $30 in purchases at Tim Hortons gets you a free donut, cookie, or hash brown.
On the high end, $180 in purchases at Tim Hortons gets you a free loaded bowl, loaded wrap, or a flatbread pizza.
Here are the prices of items at Tim Hortons in the Greater Montreal area. Note that they may vary by region.
To get the most value, order the most expensive item at each point level and choose the largest size.
Here are the best Tims Rewards point redemptions to get the most out of the program and treat yourself:
300 points
400 points
600 points
800 points
1,100 points
1,300 points
1,800 points
The higher the cent-per-point value, the more advantageous the menu item is to buy with your Tims Rewards points. According to the tables above, the best deals to be had are in the 300-point and 400-point ranges.
We value a Tims Rewards point at 0.50 cent. So if your free item in the table above has a higher valuation, you’re a winner! If not, it doesn’t matter. The important thing is to treat yourself, no matter what the price.
Please note that only one item can be redeemed at a time. If you want 2 free items with your points, you’ll need to make 2 separate transactions, 30 minutes apart.
On your Tim Hortons mobile application, click on the Rewards icon, then in the top menu, click on Reward.
Choose the points redemption level (300, 400, 600 points, etc.) available, depending on your current points bank. Then select the free item you wish to order. Complete the transaction to confirm your choice and order.
Tims Rewards point redemptions can only be done through the mobile application. The Tim Hortons cashier cannot redeem points for you.
Tims Rewards points expire 12 months after the month in which they were earned.
For example, points accumulated on November 15, 2024 will expire on December 1, 2025.
Tim Hortons restaurants and the Tim Hortons mobile application accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express credit cards.
The following cards are ideal if you spend a lot at Tim Hortons. The Tims® Mastercard gives you 15 points for every dollar spent at Tim Hortons (15 points x our 0.50 cent value = 7.5% back).
There are other cards that give excellent value per dollar:
