Tims Rewards

To earn Tims Rewards points, you must and sign up to be a member:

1. Download the Tim Hortons mobile app or sign up on the Tim Hortons website.
2. When ordering at the checkout, show your digital or plastic card. When ordering via the mobile application, points will be accumulated automatically if you have entered your membership number correctly in your profile.
3. Earn 10 points for every dollar you spend at Tim Hortons.

For example, for a $10 order, you’ll earn 100 points. If you spend $2.85, you’ll earn 29 points (rounded up). The points will be added to your account within 24 hours of your purchase.

In addition, Tim Hortons offers promotions that allow you to earn bonus points for food on the menu or during special events, such as the holidays or for new products.

If scanning your Tims Rewards card didn’t work and you didn’t receive the points, go to your profile and use the Support and Contact Us feature. Write your message explaining why you did not receive your points and keep your receipt in case Customer Service asks for it.

Another great way to earn Tims Rewards points much faster is with one of their credit cards. For example, the Tims^® Mastercard gives you :

• 15 points for every dollar spent at Tim Hortons when you scan your Tims Rewards card;
• 5 points for every dollar spent on groceries, gas, electric vehicle charging, and public transit;
• Earn 0.5 point for every $1 spent on all other purchases.

So, if you make a $10 transaction at Tim Hortons with a Tim Hortons credit card, you earn:

• 100 points ($10 X 10 base points)
• 50 points ($10 X 5 points with the Tim Hortons credit card)

Total: 150 points. You scored a double-double!

There are 7 levels of point redemption, depending on the free menu item:

• 300 points: Classic donut, gourmet donut, hash brown, cookie
• 400 points: Brewed coffee, tea, dream donut, dream cookies, bagel, pastry
• 600 points: Hot chocolate, french vanilla, iced coffee, potato wedges
• 800 points: Real fruit iced smoothies, cold brew coffee, classic iced cappuccino, 10-pack Timbits, yogurt, frozen drink, espresso-based drink
• 1,100 points: Breakfast Sandwhich, Breakfast Wrap, soup
• 1,300 points: Farmer’s Breakfast Wrap, BLT Breakfast Sandwich, lunch sandwich, chili
• 1,800 points: Loaded bowls, loaded wraps, and flatbread pizzas

Since 10 points are given for each dollar spent, it’s as if $30 in purchases at Tim Hortons gets you a free donut, cookie, or hash brown.

On the high end, $180 in purchases at Tim Hortons gets you a free loaded bowl, loaded wrap, or a flatbread pizza.

To get the most value, order the most expensive item at each point level and choose the largest size.

The higher the cent-per-point value, the more advantageous the menu item is to buy with your Tims Rewards points. According to the tables above, the best deals to be had are in the 300-point and 400-point ranges.

We value a Tims Rewards point at 0.50 cent. So if your free item in the table above has a higher valuation, you’re a winner! If not, it doesn’t matter. The important thing is to treat yourself, no matter what the price.
