The Sheraton Stockholm Hotel was a true favorite during our trip through the Scandinavian countries. We stayed there during the holiday season, when the decorations were magnificent and created a particularly warm atmosphere. Combined with impeccable service and great comfort, it was one of the highlights of our stay.
In this detailed review, I share my complete experience: booking with Marriott Bonvoy points, arrival, junior suite with city view, restaurants, services, and surroundings.
Thanks to a flash promotion in the spring, I was able to book the stay at a favorable rate, which also allowed me to extend my time in Stockholm during the holidays. A great opportunity that made the experience even more interesting, as traveling during festive periods is often expensive. The cost in points for this hotel generally varies between 45,000 and 50,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per night, depending on the season.
Stockholm-Arlanda Airport is located about 40 km from the city center. However, the Arlanda Express train quickly connects the airport to the central station in just under 20 minutes, making arrival extremely smooth. As soon as you exit the train, you are directly on the street and the Sheraton Stockholm is located just a few steps away, an ideal location logistically. The metro is also accessible at the same location, which further facilitates city travel and day trips.
Despite renovations still in the finalization phase, the warm welcome quickly made us forget these small details. Gustav, the ever-attentive clerk, took the time to chat with us, share his advice and his love for the city, which made the arrival particularly memorable. We even had the pleasant surprise of an upgrade to a junior suite. The lobby, for its part, exuded a truly enchanting atmosphere, which left a lasting impression from the very first minutes.
The decor perfectly matched my style, with a dedicated entrance leading to a cozy lounge, then a large bedroom equipped with a king bed. Natural flowers, mid-century accented decor, and a view of the canal as well as the city center completed the ensemble. The winter light there was magnificent.
A nice little detail: the temperature was perfectly adjusted with good ventilation. The bed was very comfortable, and the overall environment, particularly quiet, was truly inviting for rest.
Mr. Bronck presents itself as a modern New York-inspired brasserie, with cuisine focused on revisited classics and Nordic influences, in a lively and elegant setting.
Sally’s is a cocktail bar with a hushed and sophisticated atmosphere, inspired by 1970s New York, which highlights signature cocktails and a more intimate atmosphere in the evening. Finally, the main space dedicated to breakfast offers an international buffet, focusing on variety, freshness, and a simple but effective approach in a bright and modern environment.
The hotel offers a full range of services suitable for both leisure and business stays, like any good Sheraton. There is a 24-hour fitness center, allowing for workouts at any time during the stay. The establishment also has a significant conference and meeting center, with several modern and versatile rooms, ideal for professional or private events. That said, I didn’t really take advantage of these facilities: I only took a look to assess their quality.
The hotel is ideally located, just a few minutes from the historic Gamla Stan district as well as the main shopping streets located a bit further north. You are truly in the heart of the city’s most interesting neighborhoods, which makes getting around very simple. Thanks to public transport accessible in the immediate vicinity, the trendier Södermalm district is also easy to reach.

The Sheraton Stockholm Hotel stands out above all for its exceptional location, a true anchor in the heart of the city. Everything is done on foot or within a few minutes of transport: Gamla Stan, the shopping districts, Södermalm, and even day trips are facilitated by the proximity of the station.
The hotel combines comfort, efficiency, and a beautiful touch of contemporary renovation. The rooms offer an excellent level of well-being, and the entire stay is supported by warm and attentive service, which makes the experience very smooth and pleasant. It is an ideal address for discovering Stockholm without constraints, in a central, practical, and very lively environment, while maintaining a true sense of comfort and quality. I give it a score of 9 out of 10.
