You will receive up to 30,000 welcome WestJet points upon your first purchase (“Welcome WestJet Points”) distributed as follows:
(i) 25,000 Welcome WestJet Points up to six (6) weeks after your first purchase transaction date; and

The Additional WestJet Points will be awarded approximately six (6) weeks after the date you reach the Qualifying Transaction Amount. Qualifying Transactions exclude cash advances (including balance transfers, cash-like transactions and bill payments that are not pre-authorized charges that you set up with a merchant), interest charges and fees, and credits for returns and adjustments posted to your Credit Card account during the Period will reduce the amount of your Qualifying Transactions.

The transaction posting date of each Qualifying Transaction, not the transaction date, will determine whether the transaction will count towards the Qualifying Transaction Amount. This means that Qualifying Transactions that take place prior to the last day of the Period will not count towards the Qualifying Transaction Amount if they have not yet been posted or processed by the merchant, the payment network (Mastercard) or Royal Bank by the last day of the Period.
You will receive an additional 10,000 WestJet points (“Anniversary WestJet Points”) up to sixteen (16) weeks after your Credit Card Account has been open for one (1) year.
Welcome WestJet Points, Additional WestJet Points and Anniversary WestJet Points will be awarded to your WestJet Rewards account, accessible at westjet.com/account, and appear on your monthly credit card statement, provided your Credit Card Account is open and in good standing at the time they are awarded to your WestJet Rewards account, “good standing” meaning that your Credit Card Account must not be past due for more than two (2) consecutive Credit Card Account statement periods, closed, charged off or in credit revoked status at that time.
Only the primary cardholder on the Credit Card Account is eligible for this offer. Beginning April 30, 2025, WestJet RBC® World Elite Mastercard or WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard Corporate Primary Cardmembers (“Eligible Cardmembers”) will have access to an enhanced version of Propel to New Levels (an annual benefit that allows Eligible Cardmembers to reach Silver, Gold or Platinum status faster) providing them with a new way to earn eligible expenses for status upgrades.(opens in a new window)

Eligible Cardmembers will earn the equivalent of $200 CAD in eligible Status Upgrade Spending for every $5,000 in Eligible Purchases (as defined below) (“Status Upgrade Spending”) charged to their WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard or WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard corporate credit card account (each, an “Eligible RBC World Elite Account”) during a Qualifying Year (as defined below). Status Upgrade Rewards will be added to eligible Status Upgrade spending already earned, bringing Cardmembers closer to the next level of the WestJet Rewards program. If an eligible cardholder has two (2) eligible RBC World Elite accounts, the total amount of eligible purchases (as defined below) made on both accounts will count towards the $5,000 in eligible purchases.

For existing eligible Cardmembers prior to April 30, 2025: Eligible purchases (as defined below) on the Cardmember’s January, February, March and April 2025 monthly statements will be counted towards the $5,000 eligible purchase threshold (the new eligible spending threshold for the status upgrade), and WestJet will credit any additional upgrades to their WestJet Rewards account in May 2025.

“Eligible Purchases” means the net total of purchase transactions made by any Cardholder on the Eligible RBC World Elite Account and appearing on a monthly statement for the RBC World Elite Account during an Eligibility Year (as defined below), less returns and other credits, fees, interest charges and cash advances (balance transfers, cash-like transactions, bill payments that are not pre-authorized debits set up with a merchant). “Year of Eligibility” means the period from January 1 to December 31 of each calendar year. For new eligible RBC World Elite accounts, the term means the period from the date of the first monthly statement for the account to December 31. Up to fifty (50) Status Upgrade Awards may be granted per year of eligibility, equivalent to $10,000 CAD in eligible Status Upgrade spending. A Status Upgrade Bonus will be awarded approximately ten (10) business days after the monthly statement date on which the $5,000 threshold of eligible purchases is reached. For each year of eligibility, Status Upgrades are awarded based on the total amount of eligible purchases charged to an eligible RBC World Elite account prior to the December monthly statement date (statement production date). For example, if monthly statements are produced on the 27th day of each month and a purchase is made on December 28, the transaction will appear on the January monthly statement and will not count towards the $5,000 in eligible purchases for the current year of eligibility. Status Upgrade Rewards and eligible purchases will be reset to zero (0) at the beginning of each eligibility year.

In order for an Eligible Cardmember to earn a Status Upgrade Award, the Eligible Cardmember’s RBC World Elite account must be open and in good standing at the time the Status Upgrade Award is awarded. If an Eligible Cardmember closes an eligible RBC World Elite account prior to the end of an Eligibility Year, WestJet reserves the right to cancel any Status Upgrade Awards or Status Upgrades earned under this program. Eligible expenses for status upgrades earned under Propulsion to Other Levels have no cash or exchange value and are not transferable. WestJet and Royal Bank of Canada reserve the right to modify or withdraw the Power to Up benefit at any time.

Earn 2 WestJet points for every dollar spent on eligible WestJet flights or WestJet vacation packages and 1.5 WestJet points for every dollar spent on everyday purchases when you pay with your WestJet RBC® World Elite Mastercard. The additional 0.5 WestJet points per dollar spent on eligible WestJet flights or WestJet Vacations packages (i) are in addition to the 1.5 WestJet points per dollar spent on all other purchases and are calculated separately, and (ii) will only be awarded if WestJet or WestJet Vacations is listed as the merchant for these purchases on your monthly credit card statement. Therefore, if you book a WestJet flight or WestJet Vacations package through a travel agency or third-party website, you may not be eligible for the additional 0.5 WestJet points per dollar of purchase. WestJet points are awarded on net purchases only; they are not awarded on cash advances (including balance transfers, cash-like transactions and bill payments that are not pre-authorized debits set up with a merchant), interest charges or other fees. Credits for returns or adjustments will reduce or cancel the number of points earned on amounts originally charged to the card.

WestJet RBC® World Elite Mastercard primary cardholders may redeem each valid annual round-trip World Elite companion voucher for four (4) single-use lounge vouchers (” lounge vouchers”) at WestJet partner airport lounges. These vouchers will be identified as follows RBC Lounge Access. Applicable to WestJet RBC® World Elite Mastercard primary cardholders who hold a valid round-trip annual World Elite companion voucher (“World Elite travel companion voucher”) deposited to their account four to six weeks after the date of their first purchase, and 30 days after their credit card renewal date each year thereafter. Additional cardholders (co-applicants and authorized users) on the WestJet RBC® World Elite Mastercard credit card account are not eligible for vouchers from lounge. All requests to redeem World Elite Travel Companion Vouchers for lounge vouchers must be submitted to www.westjet.com/fr-ca/recompenses/cartes-credit/mastercard-rbc/echange-lounge at least four days prior to the cardholder’s scheduled travel date and prior to the expiration of the World Elite Travel Companion Voucher. Cardholders can view lounge vouchers and their expiry dates in the Vouchers section of their WestJet Rewards account. Vouchers from lounge will have the same expiry date as the World Elite companion travel voucher used for redemption. Vouchers from lounge must be redeemed before their expiry date. If you have more than one World Elite travel companion voucher, the first one to expire will be redeemed first. Log on to westjet.com to view available vouchers. There is no limit to the number of lounge World Elite vouchers that can be redeemed. If a lounge voucher expires after a cardholder has redeemed a World Elite companion voucher, but before the lounge voucher has been redeemed, the lounge voucher(s) will not be valid. Once a cardholder has requested to redeem a World Elite companion travel voucher for four (4) vouchers from lounge, the redemption will be considered final and cannot be cancelled or refunded.

lounge voucher terms and conditions: lounge vouchers may be used by the primary WestJet RBC® World Elite Mastercard cardholder and accompanying guests. Guests and travelling companions may only use the lounge voucher if they are accompanied by the primary cardholder and are travelling on the same day on a WestJet flight departing from the same airport. If the primary cardholder already has access to the lounges as a Platinum, Gold or Silver cardholder, vouchers from lounge can be used for other guests or companions accompanying the primary cardholder. lounge vouchers are valid only in WestJet partner airport lounges, up to three hours before flight departure. The primary cardholder must present a valid boarding pass showing their WestJet Rewards ID and a WestJet flight number for an outbound flight when entering lounge: a printed voucher is not required for redemption.
