Opened in December 2024, this <a href=\"https:\/\/milesopedia.com\/en\/reward-program\/marriott-bonvoy\/\">Marriott Bonvoy<\/a> program hotel features 179 rooms starting from the 25th floor, offering a panoramic view of South America&#8217;s largest city. Here is my full review, including rates in points and Canadian dollars.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-l-hotel-en-bref\">Hotel at a Glance<\/h2>\n\n<div class=\"component component__list checkmarks\"><ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-checkmarks\">\n<li><strong>Elite Status Benefits:<\/strong> Upgrade, free breakfast, and 1,000 welcome points offered simultaneously<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>New and Designer Hotel:<\/strong> Modern architecture with Brazilian materials and panoramic views from the 25th floor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Breakfast:<\/strong> Generous buffet and \u00e0 la carte menu at BAIO restaurant, included with Platinum status<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"component component__list red-cross\"><ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-red-cross\">\n<li><strong>Spa Not Yet Open:<\/strong> The AWAY Spa was not accessible during my visit<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Unheated Pool:<\/strong> Too cold to swim when the temperature drops below 25\u00b0C<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-reservation\">Booking<\/h2>\n\n<p>For my stay at the <a href=\"https:\/\/milesopedia.com\/go\/w-sao-paulo\/\">W Sao Paulo<\/a>, I used my annual Free Night Award offered by the <a href=\"https:\/\/milesopedia.com\/en\/credit-cards\/marriott-bonvoy-american-express-card\/\">Marriott Bonvoy American Express Card<\/a>. I added 4,000 points, as the night cost 39,000 points in total. At the time of booking, the cash price for the room was $809 CAD.  <\/p>\n\n<p>This was therefore an excellent use of the Free Night Award for a $120 annual fee. By using a Free Night Award (maximum value of 35,000 points + up to 15,000 points), you maximize the value of your <a href=\"https:\/\/milesopedia.com\/en\/credit-cards\/marriott-bonvoy-american-express-card\/\">Marriott Bonvoy Amex Card<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/aside>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-arrivee\">Arrival<\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-localisation\">Location<\/h3>\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/milesopedia.com\/go\/w-sao-paulo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">W Sao Paulo<\/a> is located in the Vila Ol\u00edmpia sector, near the Jardins district and Faria Lima Avenue. The neighbourhood features art galleries, designer boutiques, and gourmet restaurants. From Guarulhos International Airport, expect about a 45-minute taxi ride depending on traffic.  <\/p>\n<figure class=\"component component__image has-text-align-center wp-block-milesgutenberg-image\">\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"miles_img img-large\" src=\"https:\/\/milesopedia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/W-Sao-Paulo-36.jpg\" alt=\"W Sao Paulo 36\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1012\" height=\"759\">\n\t\t\t<\/figure>\n\n<p>Paulista Avenue, a major cultural artery in S\u00e3o Paulo, is just minutes away. It provides easy access to the MASP (Museu de Arte de S\u00e3o Paulo) and several other museums. Additionally, the JK Iguatemi shopping mall is within walking distance of the hotel via a pedestrian bridge.  <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-enregistrement-et-reception\">Check-in and Reception<\/h3>\n\n<p>Upon my arrival, the staff took care of my luggage and accompanied me to the reception, located on the 24th floor of the building. This elevated reception already offers a glimpse of the spectacular view of the city. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"component component__image has-text-align-center wp-block-milesgutenberg-image\">\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"miles_img img-large\" src=\"https:\/\/milesopedia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/W-Sao-Paulo-39.jpg\" alt=\"W Sao Paulo-39\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1012\" height=\"759\">\n\t\t\t<\/figure>\n\n<p>I arrived at the hotel very early after a night flight, and the room was already ready at 8:00 AM since I had checked in via the Marriott Bonvoy app. Thanks to my Platinum status, I was granted an upgrade to a Deluxe King room. <\/p>\n\n<p>The receptionists were very kind. When choosing my welcome gift associated with Platinum status, I was offered both options: 1,000 points <strong>and<\/strong> free breakfast. A generous gesture that demonstrates the hotel&#8217;s commitment to <a href=\"https:\/\/milesopedia.com\/en\/reward-program\/marriott-bonvoy\/\">Marriott Bonvoy<\/a> members.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-chambre\">Room<\/h2>\n\n<p>My Deluxe King room was on a high floor, with an unobstructed view of the S\u00e3o Paulo skyline. The <a href=\"https:\/\/milesopedia.com\/go\/w-sao-paulo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">W Sao Paulo<\/a> has 179 rooms starting from the 25th floor, including 16 suites. The design blends Brazilian materials\u2014wood and natural stone\u2014with contemporary decor in bright colors, typical of the W brand.  <\/p>\n\n<p>The room features a large, comfortable king-size bed, a work desk, a minibar, and a coffee machine. The bathroom is modern, with a rainfall shower. From the upper floors, S\u00e3o Paulo unfolds as far as the eye can see. The furniture is refined, the bed very comfortable, and the finishes are of high quality for a hotel that had been open for only a few weeks at the time of my stay.  <\/p>\n<figure class=\"component component__image has-text-align-center wp-block-milesgutenberg-image\">\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"miles_img img-large\" src=\"https:\/\/milesopedia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/W-Sao-Paulo-37.jpg\" alt=\"W Sao Paulo-37\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1012\" height=\"759\">\n\t\t\t<\/figure>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-restaurants\">Restaurants<\/h2>\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/milesopedia.com\/go\/w-sao-paulo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">W Sao Paulo<\/a> offers three dining spaces, each with a distinct identity.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-baio-cozinha-sulista-petit-dejeuner\">BAIO Cozinha Sulista \u2014 Breakfast<\/h3>\n\n<p>The BAIO restaurant is located on the 23rd floor and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The cuisine is inspired by the flavors of southern Brazil with modern touches. In addition to the generous buffet, an \u00e0 la carte menu was available. I opted for the omelet with my choice of ingredients, and it was delicious. It offers international-inspired cuisine with local products. The panoramic view of S\u00e3o Paulo makes the experience memorable, especially at the end of the day during the Sunset Ritual organized by the hotel.  <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-yoso-bar-e-cafe\">Y\u014dso Bar e Caf\u00e9<\/h3>\n\n<p>Y\u014dso is the caf\u00e9-bar located at the lobby level. It is suitable for a quick coffee or a cocktail at the end of the day. Perched high with a plunging view of the metropolis, it offers a striking contrast between the calm of the water and the energy of the city below. <\/p>\n\n<p>It was around 20\u00b0C during my visit, and the pool was not heated. It was therefore a bit too cold for my taste to swim. The hotel plans to offer treatments inspired by Brazilian wellness traditions. Something to keep an eye on for a future stay.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-autour-de-l-hotel\">Around the Hotel<\/h2>\n\n<p>The Vila Ol\u00edmpia sector and the neighboring Jardins district offer excellent exploration grounds. The tree-lined streets are full of contemporary art galleries, boutiques, and restaurants reflecting Paulistano taste. Paulista Avenue, a major cultural artery, is nearby, with access to the MASP and several cultural spaces.  <\/p>\n\n<p>The hotel is also connected by a bridge to the JK Iguatemi shopping mall, one of the city&#8217;s most prestigious. The staff also demonstrated remarkable generosity. My morning flight got canceled while I was on my way to the airport so I returned to the hotel right away. Even after having officially checked out, I was assigned a room for the day, which I was able to enjoy until 5:00 PM. This kind gesture allowed me to rest and refresh despite my flight changes.    <\/p>\n\n<p>The only downside: the AWAY Spa was not yet open and the pool was not heated.
