Until then, taxes must be paid by an alternative method. In the meantime, VIA Rail is reducing the number of points available for redemption by 30%. From July 4, 2024, taxes can be paid using points, but this temporary 30% reduction will disappear.<\/li>\n<li>If you do not have enough VIA Pr\u00e9f\u00e9rence points to book the ticket for the entire trip or for all passengers, you must book the ticket with points and the rest of the trip <strong>separately<\/strong> .<\/li>\n<li>A train ticket cannot be partially paid for with points.
