The cost to stay at the Hilton Homewood Suites<\/a> was CAD $270 for one night which came to CAD $322 including all taxes and fees.<\/p>\n

I opted for the cash rate since I was looking to use my USD $250 Hilton resort credit from the US-issued Hilton Aspire American Express card. This covered the cost of our one-night stay plus the charge for parking.<\/p>\n

This was one of the more expensive rooms at the property. I could have booked a base room and hoped for an upgrade thanks to my Hilton Diamond<\/a> status, however since the entire cost was going to be covered anyway, I opted to just book a roomier suite. Rates for the base rooms begin around $200 per night and go up to about $500. Rooms can be booked on points from 44,000 to 145,000 points per night. All rooms are suites which include a full kitchen, making this an attractive property for families.<\/p>\n

The Hilton Homewood Suites Mont Tremblant<\/a> is ideally located right in the ski village, and directly at the foot of the mountain. This gives you direct ski in-ski out privileges during the winter season! All the rest of the shops, bars, and restaurants are just a short walk away.<\/p>\n

The hotel’s main entrance is nestled right into a line of village boutique stores. The reception is a small but cozy space with armchairs and a couch surrounding a fireplace. It was decorated for Halloween which included a pumpkin-carving contest, and there was a wi-fi printer available for use. Unfortunately, I never saw the fireplace lit during our stay. This kind of little touch would have really added to the appeal of the area. The staff on duty, however, were all very friendly. They checked us in promptly, and my Diamond status allowed us early check-in by a couple of hours, as well as a bag full of treats (bottled water, trail mix, chips, and a chocolate bar) which my daughters were more than happy to dive into!<\/p>\n

Our room was 452, which was probably the best located room in the hotel. Thanks to the Hilton app, I was able to select our exact room before check-in. It was located on the top floor, and commanded the best view looking straight up the mountain.<\/p>\n

The room was an enormous suite which featured a queen-sized bed in a separate bedroom, two other double beds, and a full-sized sofa pull-out bed. The room is rated for 6 people but has space for 8 people to sleep. If you don’t mind sharing one bathroom, you could fit 2 families of 4 people here making for 4 adults and 4 children. There is a full kitchen, dining table, and living room with sofa, chair, television, and a real working fireplace. Eco-friendly logs are available for purchase at the front desk.<\/p>\n

The base of Mont Tremblant can be seen out the window. The day of our visit didn’t do it any justice; on a sunny day in the winter with the ski hill in full operation this would be a very nice view!<\/p>\n

The fully equipped kitchen included a full-sized refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, stove, coffee\/tea maker, plus utensils will allow you to make your own meals.<\/p>\n

The main bedroom features a very comfortable queen bed along with drawers, a closet, and a television.<\/p>\n

There’s a small room off of the dining area featuring a double murphy bed, a full set of drawers, and a huge closet. This lacks a door so can’t be called a separate bedroom, but for all intense and purposes it functions as one.<\/p>\n

The loft is on the second level and functions pretty much like a 3rd bedroom. It has a double bed, another set of drawers, and yet another closet. There really is ample room to store any amount of stuff you might have brought on vacation with you.\u00a0 This is very practical on a ski vacation since people tend to bring a lot of bulkier winter ski gear.<\/p>\n

The washroom has a practical design. It has two separate entrances, two sinks, and has a sliding door between the bath\/shower and the toilet areas. This makes it possible for different people to use each side of the washroom simultaneously. This would be very useful should you have a larger number of people in the suite. Toiletries are provided by Zero%, and are in eco-friendly larger bottles which get refilled by housekeeping.<\/p>\n

Being a long-stay property, the hotel doesn’t have a full-service restaurant or bar. They do have a breakfast room however, with free buffet service for all guests each morning. The food was adequate. Free hotel breakfasts are never going to knock your socks off, but I find those served by Marriott and Hilton brands are higher-quality than lower-end chains. It’s OK for a couple of days. If staying for a week, I’d probably hit it up for some yoghurt\/fruit\/pastries and supplement with some of my own grocery store purchases which you could prepare in your suite.<\/p>\n

The food available while we were there included cereal and oatmeal, pancakes, eggs, sausages, home fries, fruit, bread and pastries, and assorted juices, milk, coffee, and tea.<\/p>\n

The hotel has a seasonal outdoor pool and a jacuzzi which is open all year. The jacuzzi in particular is very nice; it’s next to a road but you’d never notice. It is landscaped with trees around it, a stone exterior, and at night features coloured lights and lounge-style music playing.\u00a0 I also caught a picture of the pool, however it was closed for the season at the time of my visit.<\/p>\n

Just off the lobby there is a locker room to keep skis, snowboards, and poles. Guests are asked to leave these here and not take them to their suites. This is very convenient, you could ski pretty much to the door of the hotel, leave all your equipment here, then pick it up again the next morning and ski straight over to the chairlift.<\/p>\n

This was a great property and we definitively would return for a longer stay next time. We stayed only one night this time around since we moved over to the Fairmont Tremblant the next day to use my annual $200 credit<\/a> on my Platinum Card®<\/sup><\/a> through the American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts Program<\/a>. Overall the Hilton Homewood Suites<\/a> is a very good choice for those who want to combine the functionality of a condo-style vacation property along with the services of a hotel. While Tremblant has many accommodation options, only a handful are right at the foot of the mountain and nestled in the Tremblant ski village. Here you can enjoy ski-in\/ski-out privileges, a large suite with a full kitchen and working fireplace, a complimentary hot breakfast in the morning, a nice outdoor jacuzzi open all winter, and friendly staff.<\/p>\n
