Here is a summary of the most important points:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Transit time in Doha must be a <strong>minimum of 8 hours<\/strong> and a maximum of 24 hours.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There must be no earlier flight available, i.e. your layover must be as short as possible. An employee will complete the hotel reservation and give you an <strong>STPC<\/strong> voucher to present at the reception desk of the designated hotel.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;300086&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_rounded&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>During this layover, I was traveling with a friend. Having paid for my ticket with Avios, I wasn&#8217;t eligible for <strong>STPC<\/strong>, but my friend was. At the <strong>Qatar Airways<\/strong> counter, the agent could not change the accommodation to a double room.<\/p>\n<p>However, at the check-in desk of the Oryx Garden Hotel, I was able to pay an additional fee of <span class=\"nowrap\"><strong>200 QAR<\/strong><\/span> (about <span class=\"nowrap\">C$75<\/span> or <span class=\"nowrap\">\u20ac50<\/span>) to access the room.
