We&#8217;re heading for Singapore on board an <strong>Emirates Airbus A380<\/strong> in business class.<\/p>\n<p>This itinerary is part of <a href=\"https:\/\/milesopedia.com\/en\/guide\/destination\/emirates-thai-ana-bangkok\/\" data-wct-parsed=\"1\">my trip to Southeast Asia<\/a> at the end of January 2023. In this case, my flight to Singapore was scheduled to leave from gate A4.<\/p>\n<p>However, a problem with the door elevator at boarding time prevented passengers from getting off the lounge. So we had to return to the reception and then go to gate A4 to board with the economy class passengers.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;249099&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_rounded&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p>For those unfamiliar with Dubai Airport, it is a &#8220;short&#8221; walk of about 15 minutes! The lounge is huge and spread out over the entire length of the terminal.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;249051&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_rounded&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p>However, after this walk, check-in was immediate, and business class passengers could board on the first level, allowing them to go up the A380&#8217;s staircase, passing through First Class.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;248780&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_rounded&#8221;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;142009&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_rounded&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;Emirates A380 Business Class &#8211; Cabin&#8221; google_fonts=&#8221;&#8221; el_id=&#8221;emirates_a380_business_class_-_cabin&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p>The Emirates A380&#8217;s business-class cabin is vast, with <strong>76 seats<\/strong>. It covers the second part of the second floor of the A380 (the First Class occupies the first part).<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;141993&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_rounded&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p>The business class is divided into 2 sections:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the main cabin with 15 rows<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;248788&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_rounded&#8221;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;248792&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_rounded&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a mini-cabin with 4 rows<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;248794&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_rounded&#8221;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;248800&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_rounded&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p>And at the end of the aircraft, you will find the bar open to First and Business Class passengers:<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;248945&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_rounded&#8221;][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;checkmarks&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>The choice of seat will depend greatly on your needs.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>If you want to be close to the bar<\/strong>, choose the mini-cabin. However, expect a lot of traffic (both from passengers accessing the lavatories or the bar and flight attendants during the service). And the noise of the reactors is more present as far as I could notice.<\/li>\n<li><strong>If you are travelling alone<\/strong>, choose seats A or K. These are the seats that offer the most privacy with the console on the aisle side (while individual seats B and J have their console on the window side)<\/li>\n<li><strong>If you want to be served first<\/strong>, choose a seat between rows 9 and 16 because Emirates service is done in 2 times (the first time for rows 9 to 16, the second time for rows 17 to 26)<\/li>\n<li><strong>If you are traveling as a couple<\/strong>, choose the E and F seats, commonly called &#8220;Honeymoon&#8221; seats. You&#8217;ll be exposed to the aisle and won&#8217;t have any windows to yourself!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;248800&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_rounded&#8221;][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;checkmarks&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>For this flight, I chose the 9K seat:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At the front of the cabin<\/li>\n<li>Served first<\/li>\n<li>Isolated and close to the windows<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;248782&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_rounded&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;Emirates A380 Business Class &#8211; Seat&#8221; google_fonts=&#8221;&#8221; el_id=&#8221;emirates_a380_business_class_-_seat&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p>Unlike <a href=\"https:\/\/milesopedia.com\/en\/reviews\/flights\/emirates-b777-new-business-class\/\">the Boeing 777<\/a>, Emirates&#8217; business class seat on the Airbus A380 provides a comfortable living space.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;248810&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_rounded&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p>The great advantage of the window seats is the large storage compartments: up to 3 compartments per seat!<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;248818&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_rounded&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p>And each of these storages is huge: as proof, I could place my <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3kKVnNj\">Macbook Pro 16 inches<\/a>, an external screen <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3JnrX25\">Asus ZenScreen<\/a>, a pocket of accessories, and there was still room for the comforter!<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;248814&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_rounded&#8221;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;248816&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_rounded&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p>If you need additional storage, a pocket is also available under the screen.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;248953&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_rounded&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p>The console in Emirates&#8217; business class seat on board the Airbus A380 includes a mini-bar, a detachable screen, a wired remote control and all the usual connections (USB, HDMI, 110V). The only thing missing is a USB-C port (available on the Boeing 777).<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;248820&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_rounded&#8221;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;248822&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_rounded&#8221;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;248824&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_rounded&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p>The power controls on Emirates&#8217; business class seat on the Airbus A380 are located along the center console. Not only can you recline your seat in different positions (including a 180-degree bed position), but you can also move it forward and backward. This can be convenient for meals or when working on your computer.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;248826&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_rounded&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p>The table tray is gigantic. However, it unfolds in one piece, which means that once in position, you will be stuck in your seat.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;248832&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_rounded&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p>You can place your shoes under the footrest. As you can see, there is no lack of space! And that&#8217;s what we like about the Airbus A380.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;248947&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_rounded&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p>In the bed position, the armrests fold down to provide more elbow room.
