Just before the pandemic, as part of a mini-RTW and after spending 10 days visiting The Ritz-Carlton in Osaka, Tokyo and Kyoto, we decided to rest at The Ritz-Carlton Langkawi<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Ritz-Carlton Langkawi<\/strong> is a Marriott Bonvoy<\/a> hotel. Since we were there during the holiday season, the cost per night was around $950 for a standard room (Rainforest Deluxe). For this booking, we used Marriott Bonvoy points<\/a> for a total of 240,000 for 5 nights.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, it’s hard to know how much it will cost in points in the future with the recently announced changes<\/a> to the Marriott Bonvoy<\/strong> program.<\/p>\n

The Ritz-Carlton Langkawi<\/strong> is a 20-minute drive from the airport. As soon as we arrived, we had the impression of entering the jungle<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The setting is very relaxing<\/strong>, and you can hear the sound of crickets. Check-in took only a few minutes before we found our room.<\/p>\n

The Junior Rainforest Suite at The Ritz-Carlton Langkawi<\/strong> is relatively large, it has a living room area and a beautiful marble bathroom.<\/p>\n

It is very bright, with large windows, and includes a bathtub and a shower.<\/p>\n

A large balcony with a beautiful view of the forest and the sea. Don’t be surprised to see a monkey on your balcony, they are everywhere in the forest.<\/span><\/p>\n

The entrance to the villa opens to the living room and offers a view of the sea and the infinity pool<\/em> (1.20 m deep).<\/p>\n

The villa is long and consists of a dining area, lounge, bedroom and bathroom. The decoration of the villa is very similar to the one of the room we had the first days.<\/p>\n

The plus: undeniably the pool and the view at sunset. The villa is not directly on the sea, but it reminded me a lot of the Maldives<\/a>.<\/p>\n
