The pool is very good for children, even Arthur had a foot in some well defined areas. It&#8217;s a shame we couldn&#8217;t do more, as the kids were tired![\/vc_column_text][vc_message css_animation=&#8221;bounceIn&#8221;]PLEASE NOTE:<\/p>\n<p>It is essential to go through the &#8220;check point place&#8221; to pay the entrance pass to the temples: we chose the one that cost $37 for the day because of the children &#8211; it was possible to pay with a credit card (JM used his <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/?p=70948\" rel=\"\">HSBC Mastercard without conversion fees<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Other tickets available: $62 for 3 days <strong>(recommended<\/strong>) and $72 for a week.[\/vc_message][vc_single_image image=&#8221;76812&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_shadow&#8221; onclick=&#8221;link_image&#8221;][vc_column_text]It is generally recommended to take a <strong>three-day pass<\/strong> that can be used over a week. We took the one day one because we knew the kids couldn&#8217;t take it anymore.<\/p>\n<p>A little idea about the prices if you buy it through the hotel:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plan about $25 for a Tuk Tuk, $46 for a car or $52 for a minivan.<\/li>\n<li>For an English guide, $53, or $70 for a French guide.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The advantage of the hotel car<\/strong>: our driver was very kind and offered us bottles of fresh water and cold towels (very pleasant under this heat!), an air-conditioned car and a faster access to the temples.<\/p>\n<p>We really enjoyed having a guide. The visit would not have been the same by ourselves. We would have lost our way many times and would have understood nothing of the history of these temples which is really fascinating!<\/p>\n<p>Prices can be lower if you arrange with external guides and tuk-tuk on the street. There is no shortage of proposals.<\/p>\n<p>The French-speaking guides being rarer, our concierge did not find any with the hotel&#8217;s list of the contacts and called upon his personal contacts. Another show is the <strong>Angkor Dynasty<\/strong> which recounts Khmer history and legends. We went to see it and LOVED it with the kids! The visit is less touristy for this village. We preferred not to go there, we felt it was like &#8220;voyeurism&#8221;, especially as the period was not ideal (dry season).<\/li>\n<li><strong>The War Museum<\/strong> traces the different wars Cambodia has been through and exhibits a unique collection of weapons and war machines.<\/li>\n<li>Finally, a <strong>silk farm<\/strong> is located half an hour from the city centre. We had already visited one in Vietnam so we passed.
