Here are our impressions following a trip to the Laurentians.<\/p>\n<p><em>This report was made possible thanks to an invitation from the hotel&#8217;s team. No remuneration was received and the opinions are my own.<\/em>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;Location in the Tremblant Village&#8221; el_id=&#8221;location_in_the_tremblant_village&#8221;][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;checkmarks&#8221;]When you look at the photos of this vast resort, you can easily see the <a class=\"thirstylink\" title=\"Fairmont Tremblant\" href=\"https:\/\/milesopedia.com\/en\/go\/fairmont-tremblant\/\" rel=\"nofollow sponsored\">Fairmont Tremblant Hotel<\/a>. The elegant ivory-coloured building stands out against the other coloured roofs.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;164419&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][vc_column_text]<strong>Tremblant&#8217;s only <em>ski-in ski-out hotel<\/em><\/strong> is within walking or sliding distance of all activities. To celebrate its 20th birthday, it was greatly renovated 2017. Its ground floor public spaces and restaurants were upgraded at that time.<\/p>\n<p>The Fairmont is located in the northwestern part of the pedestrian village, on the south side. As we drive up the Ryan climb to the hotel, we often see people training on this<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ironman.com\/im-mont-tremblant\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ironman<\/a> course.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;163681&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][vc_column_text]<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tremblant.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tremblant<\/a> is the resort at the heart of Mont-Tremblant. It is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>125 kilometres from Montreal<\/li>\n<li>148 kilometres from Ottawa\/Gatineau<\/li>\n<li>366 kilometres from Quebec City<\/li>\n<li>655 kilometres from Toronto<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Nearby, you can find:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mont-Tremblant La Macaza International Airport (YTM), 35 kilometres from the city,<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sepaq.com\/pq\/mot\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Parc national du Mont-Tremblant<\/a> (SEPAQ),<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ptittraindunord.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;Le P&#8217;tit Train du Nord<\/a>&#8221; Linear Park, for cycling,<\/li>\n<li>as well as 4 golf courses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;Parking&#8221; el_id=&#8221;parking&#8221;][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;checkmarks&#8221;]As you approach the hotel, you will notice an imposing stone wall announcing the <a class=\"thirstylink\" title=\"Fairmont Tremblant\" href=\"https:\/\/milesopedia.com\/en\/go\/fairmont-tremblant\/\" rel=\"nofollow sponsored\">Fairmont Tremblant<\/a> Hotel and a colourful flower bed.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;164331&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][vc_column_text]Then, when you stop the vehicle in front of the entrance, a valet hurries to help you and get your luggage. There is no self-parking and the <strong>cost of parking is $29<\/strong> plus tax.<\/p>\n<p>Electric vehicles can be plugged to a level 2 charging station during the stay, at no extra cost. Upon entering, you can notice a large, multi-sided stone fireplace that sits proudly among the country furniture. The mixture of stone and wood makes for a warm atmosphere.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;164316&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][vc_column_text]The large mirrors in front of the entrance create an illusion of depth and accentuate the brightness of the lobby.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;164335&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][vc_column_text]When we arrived, our room was ready. At the reception, the agent explained everything about the hotel&#8217;s best aspects, the restaurants, the pool and the spa. Everything was efficient and I received both keys to my room quickly.<\/p>\n<p>Even with the <a href=\"https:\/\/all.accor.com\/loyalty-program\/cards-status-benefits-details\/index.fr.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">basic &#8220;Classic&#8221; status<\/a>, I can have benefits like free wifi and access to PressReader (which contains more than 5,000 newspapers and magazines in their digital version). In addition, I could go o the Priority Desk to get a quicker service, since I&#8217;m a member of the <a href=\"https:\/\/milesopedia.com\/programme-fidelite\/accor-live-limitless\/\">AccorHotels ALL<\/a> loyalty program.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;164314&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][vc_column_text]The Fairmont Tremblant also has a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fairmont.fr\/fairmont-gold\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fairmont Gold<\/a> floor, open only during the winter season. It was closed during the winter of 2020-2021 due to COVID-19; reopening is still unsure for next season.<\/p>\n<p>This VIP luxury service offer is available for rooms and suites on the 7th floor. This includes access to the private lounge for Fairmont Gold guests, breakfast, canap\u00e9s and a self-service bar, as well as many other private and personalized touches.<\/p>\n<p>To take advantage of this, you must book a room or suite on this floor. The theme on mine was that, &#8220;in the good old days&#8221;, mischievous goblins would steal horses at night.<\/p>\n<p>A stained glass window with the story hangs in the elevators area. Moreover, the room number signs remind us of this legend, on the whole floor.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;164278&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;checkmarks&#8221;]In all, the Fairmont Tremblant has 251 rooms, 26 condos and about 30 suites.<\/p>\n<p>My room was on the 5th floor and was called &#8220;Deluxe&#8221;, with its 2 Queen beds and a sofa bed. At the reception, they explained that I only had to unfold the sofa bed and that the bedding was already there. Thus, the room could accommodate 6 people in total.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;164284&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;checkmarks&#8221;]At the reception desk, I was told that I would soon receive a text message from them. It contained a link to all services, restaurant hours and current activities. Another link gave the room service menu.<\/p>\n<p>I could also send them a message if I needed anything. Since my family likes firmer pillows, we took the opportunity to request some through text message. Someone from housekeeping came to bring them to us afterwards.[\/vc_column_text][vc_gallery interval=&#8221;3&#8243; images=&#8221;164252,164250,164258&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][vc_column_text]The 2 beds have a wooden headboard. Each had a reading light opposite the bedside table light. When we arrived, a robe for each of the children was waiting on the beds.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;164341&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][vc_column_text]Next to the window, a work desk is placed against the wall, with an electrical outlet adjacent. We did not notice a USB plug.<\/p>\n<p>The view from the room overlooked the hotel entrance and the parking lot. In the distance, we could see part of Lake Tremblant and the mountains.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;164343&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][vc_column_text]The rest of the room consisted of a &#8220;living room&#8221; area, with a chair, armchair, sofa bed, coffee table, desk with drawers and television.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;164256&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][vc_column_text]In the entrance hall, there was a wardrobe with an ironing board, an iron and a small safe.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;164270&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p>A Keurig coffee machine with 4 capsules, a kettle, 2 cups, tea bags and sugar were at our disposal. On the counter we had a bottle opener, 2 wine glasses, 2 glasses and an ice bucket. A small refrigerator was underneath.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_gallery interval=&#8221;3&#8243; images=&#8221;164272,164274&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;The bathroom&#8221; font_container=&#8221;tag:h3|text_align:left&#8221; el_id=&#8221;the_bathroom&#8221;][vc_column_text]The bathroom has a very &#8220;Fairmontian&#8221; feel, with its sober wallpaper, the presence of wood for the vanity and the dressing gowns at our disposal.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;164264&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][vc_column_text]In addition, a magnifying mirror hangs on the wall and Le Labo Rose 31 toiletries are available. Following renovations, it has now been replaced by other culinary offerings.<\/p>\n<p>On the ground floor we can find:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chouxgrasbrasserie.com\/menus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Choux Gras Brasserie Culinaire<\/strong><\/a>: Refined cuisine in a retro decor and velvet chairs. It also offers a menu to share with family and friends.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chouxgrasbrasserie.com\/lounge-bar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>L\u2019Axe Lounge Bar<\/strong><\/a>: For people over 18 only. Just to the right of the large foyer at the entrance, it offers a simple menu, a chic atmosphere, original cocktails and a beautiful view of the mountain. Prior to the renovations, there was a large seating area there with armchairs and a cozy atmosphere.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;164308&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;checkmarks&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lecomptoirtremblant.com\/home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Comptoir Cuisine du March\u00e9<\/strong><\/a>: Casual style. Breakfast and dinner are \u00e0 la carte and when the situation allows it, the buffet formula will be offered. In the dining room, we can find the same type of stone as in the entrance to the reception area.<\/p>\n<p>Our waitress Ja\u00eblle, was very efficient, friendly and quick. Because we had a day of activities in the mountains, the family chose to eat an energizing meal: pancakes, a morning poutine, an &#8220;endurance&#8221; omelette and a &#8220;coureur des bois&#8221; meal. The portions were just right and everything was delicious.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;164306&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][vc_column_text]<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fairmont.com\/tremblant\/dining\/ricochet-cafe-terrasse\/\">Ricochet Caf\u00e9 &amp; Terrace<\/a>: It is located at the pool level. It&#8217;s a food counter offering sandwiches, dinners, salads and coffee to go. Dining tables are next on the window sills, overlooking the pool and the mountain.<\/p>\n<p>You must make bookings for restaurants during busy periods. A therapeutic whirlpool is right next to the pool, near the lifeguard who monitors the outdoor pools. Multiple lounge chairs are placed all around.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_gallery interval=&#8221;3&#8243; images=&#8221;164322,164294&#8243;][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;checkmarks&#8221;]After a day of climbing and descending the mountain, you can relax at the Moment Spa. It was renovated in 2017, along with the other public spaces.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;164280&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;checkmarks&#8221;]The fitness room is open 24 hours a day and you must book. This is especially true because it was the most popular activity for the children. We could have left them there all day and they wouldn&#8217;t have minded.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tremblant.ca\/quoi-faire\/activites\/telecabine-panoramique\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Panoramic Gondola<\/a> takes us to the top of Mont-Tremblant. The view is extraordinary and it is the starting and ending point of several trails.<\/p>\n<p>We enjoyed the moment in the red Adirondack chairs and then walked the <a href=\"https:\/\/medias.tremblant.ca\/pdf\/cartes\/carte-sentiers-randonnee-tremblant.pdf?_gl=1*1kp5yfr*_ga*OTM4MDA0NjM3LjE2Mjk0MDAyNDY.*_ga_B1YVPN56M6*MTYzMDMzODQ4Ny4xNS4wLjE2MzAzMzg0ODcuMA..&amp;_ga=2.155208507.1229280428.1630338488-938004637.1629400246\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">360\u00b0 trail<\/a>. Unfortunately, the 360\u00b0 observation tower was temporarily closed during the time we were there.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;163907&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;checkmarks&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>With <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tremblant.ca\/planifiez\/transport\/se-deplacer-sur-le-centre-de-villegiature\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">free shuttles<\/a> running throughout the center and many activities, you can leave the car at the hotel for the duration of the stay.<\/p>\n<p>There is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tremblant.ca\/quoi-faire\/activites#filters=seasons:Summer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">so much to do<\/a>: you have to decide between the casino for the older ones, the <a href=\"https:\/\/tongalumina.tremblant.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tonga Lumina<\/a>, the water sports, the climbing tour, tennis, the beach, the lake cruise, the floating mountains, the bike, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tremblant.ca\/fr\/quoi-faire\/activites\/via-ferrata\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Via Ferrata<\/a> and the zip lines.<\/p>\n<p>For all the activities, we booked everything on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tremblant.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tremblant<\/a> site, but we could have done so with the concierge at the Fairmont Tremblant. I bought all the tickets for our home events online and got them directly to my room.<\/p>\n<p>For the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tremblant.ca\/quoi-faire\/activites\/luge\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">slay<\/a>, the confirmation email had a code to scan at a terminal at the bottom of the mountain. In a matter of seconds, the kiosk printed me a ticket to present at the entrance to our Mont-Tremblant luge.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tremblant.ca\/fr\/quoi-faire\/activites\/automne-tremblant\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">In the fall<\/a>, all the activities are pretty much the same (take away the ones that include going swimming at the beach!) but add seeing the trees changing colours. The show is breathtaking every year.<\/p>\n<p>The mountain lights up with all the shades of orange. Many people do the <em>Grand Prix des couleurs Tremblant<\/em> trail. This trail is demanding but the effort is worth it, when you reach the top.<\/p>\n<p>Around mid-September on <a href=\"https:\/\/blogue.tremblant.ca\/fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tremblant<\/a>&#8216;s website or Facebook page, check the index that assesses the tree colours as of the day.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;164417&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;In winter for ski in ski out&#8221; font_container=&#8221;tag:h3|text_align:left&#8221; el_id=&#8221;in_winter_for_ski_in_ski_out&#8221;][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;checkmarks&#8221;]Skiing is the number one reason Tremblant exists in winter.<\/p>\n<p>But <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tremblant.ca\/quoi-faire\/activites#filters=seasons:Winter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">there is also<\/a> ice skating, hiking, snowshoeing, sleigh rides, cross-country skiing, dog sledding, tobogganing and fat biking, for example.<\/p>\n<p>At the <strong>Fairmont Tremblant<\/strong>, a Ski Valet office stores and rents skis (as they are not allowed in the rooms).
