So you can use your Aeroplan points to travel on any <strong>Etihad<\/strong> flight, such as between North America and Abu Dhabi, or as I did here between Abu Dhabi and Europe.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of 2018, I had the opportunity to test the <strong>Etihad Airways First Class<\/strong> on board <a href=\"https:\/\/milesopedia.com\/avis\/vols\/paris-abu-dhabi-sur-etihad-en-premiere-classe-b777\/\"> B777<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/milesopedia.com\/avis\/vols\/abu-dhabi-paris-etihad-first-class-apartment-a380\/\">the A380<\/a> (a diametrically different experience between the two aircraft), and both lounges <a href=\"https:\/\/milesopedia.com\/avis\/salon\/etihad-airways-lounge-paris-charles-de-gaulle-cdg\/\">at <\/a>Paris Charles De Gaulle and <a href=\"https:\/\/milesopedia.com\/en\/reviews\/airport-lounges\/etihad-airways-arrivals-lounge-abu-dhabi-auh\/\">Abu Dhabi<\/a> (including <a href=\"https:\/\/milesopedia.com\/en\/reviews\/airport-lounges\/notice-on-the-span-lounge-etihad-airways-first-class-lounge-abu-dhabi-auh\/\">the private suite reserved for passengers travelling in Etihad Residence<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;61087&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_rounded&#8221;][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;checkmarks&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>A very different time today following COVID-19: A380s have been removed indefinitely from the <strong>Etihad Airways<\/strong> fleet, and a handful of aircraft operate flights with a First Class cabin.<\/p>\n<p>For this 7 hour flight from Abu Dhabi to Frankfurt (allowing me to catch a connection on Lufthansa to Nice), I chose to try the <strong>Etihad Airways Business Class<\/strong> called <strong>Business Studio<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading el_id=&#8221;booking_with_aeroplan&#8221; text=&#8221;Booking with Aeroplan&#8221; google_fonts=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;checkmarks&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>A 7-hour flight from Abu Dhabi to Europe (Frankfurt, Paris, Geneva, etc.) costs&nbsp;:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>25,000 Aeroplan points in Economy<\/li>\n<li><strong>45,000 Aeroplan points in Business Class<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>65,000 Aeroplan points in First Class<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And approximately $80 in taxes (including the Aeroplan partner booking fee).<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;163552&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_rounded&#8221;][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;checkmarks&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>And the cash cost of that same flight? <strong>$3,125<\/strong>. However, half of the seats are in the opposite direction of the aircraft&#8217;s flight.
