The airline then acquired new Boeing 777 aircraft, with upgraded cabins, particularly in business and first class. We had the opportunity to travel on board when this aircraft was positioned between Montreal and Zurich.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”53678″ img_size=”large” add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_shadow”][vc_column_text el_class=”checkmarks”]While the press thought that Swiss was going to withdraw its Airbus A340s – four-engine, fuel-guzzling aircraft – from its fleet, the company decided to modernize the cabins to bring them up to Boeing 777 standards. And this process has just been completed in early 2020.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”78681″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_shadow”][vc_column_text el_class=”checkmarks”]At the end of 2019, we were lucky enough to travel on one of these reconfigured aircraft, positioned between Zurich and Johannesburg, as part of the start of our 5-month family world tour.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_class=”checkmarks”]This flight leaves late from Zurich (around 11pm) and as we had already spent the previous night on the plane from Montreal, the kids were tired and sleepy.<\/p>\n

As a result, we had them in our arms during boarding, so we didn’t take any photos of this phase.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading el_id=”the_cabin” text=”The cabin” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left” google_fonts=””][vc_column_text el_class=”checkmarks”]We chose seats in the business class mini-cabin. Located between the First Class and the galleys, the mini-cabin is ideal as there are few passengers here, unlike the main business class cabin.<\/p>\n
