The Fairfield by Marriott Montr\u00e9al Downtown<\/a> is a category 5 Marriott Bonvoy hotel in downtown Montr\u00e9al. The hotel has been recently renovated and offers a modern and comfortable stay.<\/p>\n

Moreover, this night became my fiftieth<\/strong> and officially opened the doors to the hotel chain<\/a>‘s Platinum status.<\/p>\n

I didn’t think I’d ever reach that status because the types of accommodation I use vary: house swaps<\/a>, pet sitting<\/a>, Airbnb<\/a> etc.<\/p>\n

But the February 2020 family trip to South Africa<\/a> where we stayed at Protea Marriott<\/a> Category 1 and 2 hotels, earned me several status nights.<\/p>\n

Thanks to my American Express®<\/sup><\/sup> Marriott BonvoyTM<\/sup> Card<\/a>, which gives me 15 Elite Nights for my membership or renewal status<\/a>, followed by Marriott’s pandemic promotional offer<\/a>, I got upgaded to a better room. You read that right: the lady was upgraded![\/vc_column_text]

Well, yes. Well, for breakfast, I hear it’s always free for everyone at this hotel.<\/p>\n
