By the way, this category 5<\/strong> hotel in the Marriott Bonvoy program<\/a> is the only one that is completely finished at this time and place. I felt like I was at home<\/strong>, but with sunshine every day! In fact, I started my stay by booking 3 nights there which cost me 68 USD$\/night.<\/p>\n

I later changed my plans and rebooked 2 full weeks at the Renaissance, as I slept very well and it was the most comfortable bed of any hotel I’ve stayed at in Mexico. <\/div>\n[vc_column_text el_class=”checkmarks”]The ferry to Isla Mujeres<\/em> or Cozumel is a 10 minute walk away. Finally, a hotel outside the usual noise synonym of Cancun! The marina offers free activities every day.<\/p>\n

The food in all the restaurants is superior to many in downtown Cancun and for a lower price.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”90786″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_rounded” ][vc_single_image image=”90788″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_rounded” ][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”Around the hotel” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left” google_fonts=”” el_id=”around_the_hotel”][vc_column_text el_class=”checkmarks”]This hotel is linked to the new Cancun shopping center (the biggest in Cancun) in Marina Puerto Cancun.<\/p>\n

There is a movie theater with movies in English or Spanish, so I would go and watch a movie every 5 days before I went to Mexico City to take my DELE exam.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”90818″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_rounded” ][vc_column_text el_class=”checkmarks”]There is a supermarket at the marina. Also, the OXXO convenience store in the mall is very convenient: I bought my SIM card and other items with my American Express CobaltMD<\/sup> Card<\/a> and got 5 points per dollar.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”The room” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left” google_fonts=”” el_id=”the_room”][vc_column_text el_class=”checkmarks”]The room can accommodate up to 4 people, as there is a lounge area with a sofa bed.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”90769″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_rounded” ][vc_single_image image=”90772″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_rounded” ][vc_column_text el_class=”checkmarks”]If you do the math for a family of 4, it’s not very expensive to stay in a luxury hotel in Cancun<\/strong>. Prices are expected to increase as the marina is currently under construction. Despite the work, I didn’t hear any noises while I was sleeping.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”90780″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_rounded” ][vc_column_text el_class=”checkmarks”]All rooms have a balcony.[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/3″][vc_single_image image=”90774″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_rounded” ][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/3″][vc_single_image image=”90778″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_rounded” ][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/3″][vc_single_image image=”90784″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_rounded” ][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text el_class=”checkmarks”]The hotel offers the “Make a green choice<\/em>” option: 500 points per night by declining the daily maid service.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”Fees and Benefits” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left” google_fonts=”” el_id=”fees_and_benefits”][vc_column_text el_class=”checkmarks”]There are no resort fees to pay<\/strong>. This beach (Club Playa) is little known and private.<\/p>\n

Access to the Beach Club is also free of charge and is 650 metres away (about 8 minutes walk from the hotel). There are 4 pools at the Beach Club.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”90816″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_rounded” ][vc_column_text el_class=”checkmarks”]In addition, just 2 minutes from the hotel, the new golf club<\/strong> is very popular with golf enthusiasts. I enjoyed a marina view with a room on the corner offering a full panorama of the Marina<\/strong> with my Marriott Bonvoy OR status<\/a> given to me thanks to my ®<\/sup>\" href=\"https:\/\/milesopedia.com\/en\/credit-cards\/the-platinum-card\/\">Platinum CardMD<\/sup> from American Express<\/a>.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”90814″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_rounded” ][vc_column_text el_class=”checkmarks”]The port, which will be completed in about 4 years, is intended to accommodate private yachts, while in Isla Mujeres<\/em>, cruise ships will be able to dock.[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”90802″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_rounded” ][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”90794″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_rounded” ][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text el_class=”checkmarks”]Finally, a large gym with high-end equipment.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”90800″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_rounded” ][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”Bottom Line” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left” google_fonts=”” el_id=”bottom_line”][vc_column_text el_class=”checkmarks”]In conclusion, I would say that Marriott is making a very nice entry as a “first player” in its industry for people who, like me, prefer resorts to beaches. <\/span><\/p>\n

Worthy of a true 5-star hotel in Cancun, the design of the Renaissance Cancun Resort &amp; Marina<\/a> is fabulous, luxurious and very artistic. The service? Excellent in every way. The navigator also provides good information on the various activities. <\/span><\/p>\n

The only negative point is that it is one of the few Renaissance that does not have a VIP lounge for Platinum and + members. <\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_message]<\/p>\n
