Hilton Honors announces to extend various benefits for its members: status extension until 2023, no expiration of points, etc.
Extended Elite Status
Do you have Hilton Honors Elite status? The good news is that it will be extended until March 2023 (instead of March 2022 initially).
For example, this is useful for those who have achieved Hilton Honors Gold Elite status (giving complimentary breakfasts at all Hilton hotels) with the Platinum Card® and may not want to renew their Card.
Extending Rollover Nights to 2022
Stayed at Hilton hotels in 2021? All Elite Nights earned will roll over and count toward 2022 tier qualifications, making it easier for you to (re-)qualify for Hilton Honors Elite Status.
Note, however, that if you had Elite Nights rolled over from 2020 to 2021, they will not be rolled over again to 2022.
Pausing Points Expiration
Usually, Hilton Honors points expire if your account is inactive for 12 months. An activity can earning or redeeming points.
Hilton Honors has decided to extend the deadline by one year: no points will expire until December 31, 2022.
Lower requirement to qualify for Elite Status
Hilton Honors has decided to lower the requirements for Elite status. For the year 2022, it will be 30% easier than normal to get an Elite status :
|Hilton Honors Silver||7||3||17 500|
|Hilton Honors Gold||28||14||52 500|
|Hilton Honors Diamond||42||21||84 000|
As a reminder, here are the usual requirements:
|Hilton Honors Silver||10||4||25 000|
|Hilton Honors Gold||40||20||75 000|
|Hilton Honors Diamond||60||30||120 000|
Hilton Honors Credit Card Benefits (USA)
If, like me, you are a Hilton Honors credit card holder – like the Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card – you have a free weekend night certificate.
With the COVID-19 pandemic, Hilton Honors offered the opportunity to use this certificate even during the week. For 2022, this will still be the case.

Hilton Honors has been very proactive since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, often being the first hotel loyalty program to take action for its members.
