These offers are perfect for quickly earning PC Optimum points!
The fixed ratio
For purchases at Shoppers Drug Mart drugstores and Esso or Mobil gas stations, a fixed ratio is applied:
Drugstores | Gas Station
Stores | Shoppers Drug Mart | Esso/Mobil |
Points | 15 points per dollar | 10 points per litre
or 10 points per dollar |
With President's Choice Credit Cards
To earn more PC Optimum points, there are 3 credit cards affiliated with the program:
Mastercard | World Mastercard | World Elite Mastercard
All purchases | 10 points / $ | 10 points / $ | 10 points / $ |
PC Optimum Stores | 10 points / $ | 20 points / $ | 30 points / $ |
Shoppers Drug Mart* | 25 points / $ | 35 points / $ | 45 points / $ |
Esso / Mobil (per liter)* | 30 points / l | 30 points / l | 30 points / l |

*At Shoppers Drug Mart drugstores and Esso/Mobil gas stations, the base points you would have earned are also included in the calculation.
These credit cards, therefore, offer a return of 1 to 3% in PC Optimum points.

Other credit card choices
You can choose to earn other types of rewards by shopping at PC Optimum stores. With the right credit cards, you could earn:

If you don’t have the minimum income required of $60,000 for the Scotia Momentum® VISA Infinite* card, you could choose one of these three no annual fee cards earning up to 3% cash back for groceries:
- 3% cash back with the BMO® CashBack® Mastercard®*
- 2% cash back with the MBNA Smart Cash Platinum Plus® Mastercard®
- 2% cash back with the Tangerine Money-Back Credit Card
For AIR MILES
One of the best credit cards for earning AIR MILES Reward Miles in Canada is the BMO® AIR MILES® World Elite®* Mastercard®*.
With this card, you can earn 1 mile for every $10 in purchases anywhere, including groceries, drugstores and gas stations. These businesses do not need to be AIR MILES sponsors.
If you don’t have the $80,000 minimum income required by the BMO® AIR MILES® World Elite®* Mastercard®*, you may choose the no annual fee version that allows you to earn 1 mile per $25 of purchases anywhere.
