Aeroplan lets you:

  • cancel flight rewards within 24 hours of booking without any charge
  • cancel or change a flight reward up to two hours before departure

Policy updated June 22, 2022:

  • Aeroplan’s Economy Flex fare option now includes waived change fees alongside Economy Latitude, Premium Economy (flexible), Business Class (flexible) and First Class (flexible) fare options.
  • Economy Standard, Premium Economy (lowest), Business Class (lowest) and First Class (lowest) fare options allow changes alongside a CDN $100 anytime change fee (per direction, per ticket).
  • Aeroplan Super Elite members enjoy waived change and cancellation fees across all fare options for flight rewards redeemed from their accounts.

Aeroplan Flight Reward Cancellation and Refund

Within 24 hours after booking

You can cancel and receive a full refund FREE of charge within 24 hours of booking an Aeroplan Flight Reward.

It’s handy if you make a mistake or discover another available flight!

Up to 2 hours before departure

Once the 24 hours have passed, the cancellation fee will range from $0 to $175 depending on the fare paid and the method of cancellation.
