Buy Aeroplan Miles with a bonus
Between July 7 and July 14, 23:59 (ET), Aeroplan members can buy Aeroplan Miles with a bonus.

Each Aeroplan member has a specific offer. Here is the one we received:
Threshold | Bonus | Cost per mile |
2 000 – 50 000 | 25 % | 2.4 cents |
60 000 – 170 000 | 40 % | 2.14 cents |
180 000 – 240 000 | 60 % | 1,875 cents |
250 000+ | 75 % | 1.71 cents |

Usually, there is a maximum limit of:
- 250,000 Aeroplan miles per transaction
- 500,000 Aeroplan miles per year
This annual limit has been increased to 1,000,000 Aeroplan miles.
Earn up to 5,000 Altitude Qualifying Dollars
During this offer, you will be able to earn up to 5,000 Altitude Qualifying Dollars (AQD). This is especially useful for frequent flyers who have not been able to reach their threshold, to qualify for a higher altitude status level.

However, remember that Air Canada has extended the validity of the current Altitude status until the end of 2021. In addition to DQA, you will also need to earn Altitude Qualification Miles (MQM) or Altitude Qualification Segments (SQM).

Conclusion
Is it worth buying Aeroplan miles? As with any miles & points purchase, this will depend on the circumstances. You’ll need to decide based on the reward flights you plan to book soon (and have exhausted all the other Aeroplan miles earning options).
However, if during the Travel At Home event, the promotion was exciting at 90% or even 115% for the lucky ones, here it will depend on the personalized offer you will get.
