During my stay in Western Australia, I chose Perth as my base. This city has five Marriott properties, three of which are very well located in the city center: The Westin, The Ritz-Carlton, and Four Points by Sheraton. After comparing the options, Four Points by Sheraton Perth seemed to offer the best value for money, and I was not disappointed with my choice. For a week in Perth, this hotel more than met my expectations, and I am delighted to share my experience.
My stay at the Four Points by Sheraton Perth was in April (Australian autumn), and I found the rates to be quite competitive for the hotel’s central location. The average cost for a standard room was around AUD 200 per night, while the Deluxe Suite was available at around AUD 350. In terms of Marriott Bonvoy points, the average rate was 21,500 points per night.
Don’t forget that when you book with Marriott Bonvoy points, you get a 5th night free for every 4 consecutive nights you stay – a great way to maximize the value of your points!

The Four Points by Sheraton Perth offers an ideal location in the heart of the Central Business District (CBD), on Wellington Street, just a short walk from Perth’s central train station. It is also very well positioned for exploring the city’s main attractions. For those who enjoy going out, the vibrant Northbridge area, with its restaurants and nightlife, is just a few minutes’ walk away. The hotel is about a 15-20 minute drive (30-40 minutes by public transport) from Perth Airport.
Arriving late at the hotel after a direct Singapore-Perth flight landing at 11.55pm, check-in was quick and efficient. Thanks to my Titanium status, I was lucky enough to be upgraded from a standard room to a Deluxe Suite for my entire 6-night stay, which greatly added to the quality of my experience. The staff were welcoming, and despite the late hour, everything ran smoothly.
The Deluxe Suite at Four Points by Sheraton Perth stands out for its prime corner location, featuring windows on two walls. This allows for exceptional natural light throughout the day, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere. Situated at the end of the corridor, the suite also offers optimal tranquillity, away from the busier areas of the hotel.
The suite features a semi-open layout, with a partition separating the bedroom from the living area, though there is no door between the two spaces. The decor follows a decidedly minimalist style, with a single piece of Aboriginal artwork on one of the walls. On the bedroom side, the setup remains classic: a large king-size bed, bedside tables, an armchair, a dresser, and a television. The large window in the bedroom allows for pleasant natural light, enhancing the calm and serene ambiance of the space.
The living area is spacious and functional, featuring a large desk, two comfortable sofas, a coffee table, and another television. The two additional windows bring in even more natural light, enhancing the sense of comfort and well-being.
The bathroom is particularly spacious. It features a rain shower, a toilet separated by a door, a sink on a large counter-top, and ample storage space. A practical feature: the wardrobe, located between the bedroom and bathroom, is accessible from both sides, a clever touch that makes it easy to grab a bathrobe after a quick shower.
Overall, this suite combines comfort and functionality in a sleek, minimalist setting, with natural light creating a pleasant space for relaxation or quiet, focused work.
The Deluxe Suite at Four Points by Sheraton Perth offers a bright, quiet, and functional space, perfect for a stay that is both comfortable and convenient. Its semi-open layout and minimalist decor create a pleasant atmosphere, while the abundant natural light adds a touch of serenity. Whether for relaxation or work, this suite perfectly balances comfort and simplicity.
The Eatery Restaurant, exclusively dedicated to breakfast, offers a buffet with a wide selection of cold dishes, such as cheeses, cold cuts, salads, and cereals, as well as hot options, like scrambled eggs, bacon, and chipolatas. Guests can also order eggs cooked to their preference, omelette, fried, or poached, by filling out a small form. The restaurant’s decor, featuring turquoise tones and numerous paintings, creates a lively and dynamic atmosphere, perfect for starting the day. With plenty of seating options and a high ceiling that enhances the sense of openness and airiness, the space provides a pleasant setting for breakfast.
Best Brew Bar & Kitchen is open for lunch and dinner, and specializes in casual pub food. Although the food is not haute cuisine, the place stands out for its lively, warm atmosphere. The restaurant offers a selection of local beers and cocktails, perfect for an informal meal or simply to unwind after a busy day. You can choose to dine indoors, in a more festive setting, or enjoy the fresh air on the terrace. The relaxed yet friendly atmosphere makes it an ideal place to spend a pleasant moment, whether it’s to get some work done at the end of the day or to enjoy a snack. All in all, it’s a pleasant “chill” place, perfect for a break.
The fitness room at Four Points by Sheraton Perth is spacious and well-equipped, offering an acceptable range of options for both strength training and cardio. You’ll find free weights for strength straining, as well as cardio equipment such as stationary bikes, an elliptical and treadmills. What makes the experience even more enjoyable is the presence of windows that bring in natural light and make the room less stuffy, creating a more pleasant environment to work out in.
The hotel has private parking, but it’s important to note that the daily rate is AUD 50. Although I didn’t use this option during my stay, having preferred public transport, it’s worth mentioning that this cost can be a bit steep for those wishing to park on site.
The location of the Four Points by Sheraton Perth was a real asset to my six-night stay. The hotel is close to many interesting neighbourhoods, which allowed me to take several 10 km jogs through places like Northbridge, Leederville and East Perth. I was lucky enough to come across parrots and black swans during my runs, which added a very pleasant local touch. I also really enjoyed strolling through the huge Kings Park, a veritable haven of greenery right in the heart of the city, offering spectacular views over Perth and the Swan River.
My stay was also an opportunity to discover the WAM (Western Australia Museum Boola Bardip), where I learned a great deal about the history and culture of Western Australia. I took advantage of my time in Perth to go on excursions, notably to the impressive Rottnest Island, a magnificent and unspoilt place. Another highlight was my visit to the Pinnacles Desert, about two hours north of Perth, in Nambung National Park. It was fascinating to walk among the rock formations. Finally, I was lucky enough to come across kangaroos and koalas during my visit to Yanchep National Park, an unforgettable experience.
In April, temperatures are particularly pleasant, hovering around 20 to 25°C, making outdoor activities even more enjoyable. On the other hand, summer in Perth can be much hotter, with temperatures reaching 35°C or more.
The Four Points by Sheraton Perth offered me an extremely pleasant stay, combining an ideal central location for exploring the city with a quiet, comfortable setting in which to relax after a busy day. As a mid-range hotel, it offers excellent value for money, making it a very attractive option for travelers looking for comfort and convenience without breaking the bank.
The hotel’s atmosphere is friendly, relaxed and accessible, with thoughtful facilities that cater to the needs of both business and leisure travelers. The natural light that floods the Deluxe Suite, the friendly atmosphere of the Best Brew Bar and the quality of the breakfast add to the sweetness of every moment spent at the hotel. The hotel’s proximity to vibrant neighborhoods like Northbridge and green spaces like Kings Park make it easy to combine outdoor activities with moments of relaxation.
What’s more, the staff were particularly attentive, recognizing me by name on my second day and making sure everything went smoothly. My stay was a perfect blend of comfort, convenience and discovery, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quality, value-for-money pied-à-terre in the heart of Perth.
