Less than a week after announcing the end of MGM’s partnership with the Hyatt hotel group on September 30, we learn from a press release that MGM will be transitioning to the Marriott Bonvoy program.
From October 2023, Marriott Bonvoy members will be able to earn and redeem points at 17 existing MGM hotels. Reservations at MGM properties will be able to be made on the official Marriott Bonvoy website and app from October for selected hotels, and for all hotels by the end of 2023.

Within the Marriott Bonvoy group, the majority of MGM hotels will be categorized under the “MGM Collection” banner, with the exception of four MGM hotels that will join other Marriott Bonvoy collections, namely:
- Bellagio Resort & Casino, as part of The Luxury Collection,
- theARIA Resort & Casino, as part of the Autograph Collection,
- the Park MGM, as part of Tribute Portfolio,
- and The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, already part of Autograph Collection
As a result, eight more hotels in Las Vegas and five more across the U.S. will join Marriott Bonvoy’s MGM Collection.
Details of the partnership with Marriott Bonvoy
We don’t yet know all the details of this partnership. For example, Marriott Bonvoy members will be able to link their account to MGM Rewards to obtain certain benefits, but we don’t yet know which ones.
Nor do we know whether Elite status benefits will be applied in the same way in MGM establishments.

In addition, MGM also owns BetMGM, an online sports betting and gaming platform, so it will be possible to earn Marriott Bonvoy points on certain transactions, and members will also be able to receive exclusive offers.
