Lynx Air arrives in Montreal with flights from $59

To the point Lynx Air is coming to Montreal, with tickets up to 50% off for a very limited time.

Beginning June 5, 2023, Canada’s newest low-cost airline will add Montreal (YUL) to its destinations with service to Calgary (YYC) and St. John’s (YYT). The frequency of flights will be two to four services per week and will vary according to the market.

For the occasion, Lynx Air has put tickets to and from Montreal on discount until the end of the day on March 10, 2023.

“We are delighted to be adding the vibrant city of Montreal to the Lynx Air network in the lead up to summer. While Montreal is a very popular destination, it is currently under-served by low-cost carriers, and Lynx aims to change that,” said Merren McArthur, CEO of Lynx. “We are pleased to offer an ultra-affordable option to connect Montreal and Quebec to the rest of Canada. Whether you are traveling to wander the cobblestone streets of Vieux-Montreal; to explore the iconic Notre-Dame Basilica; or to visit your loved ones, Lynx will ensure a great flying experience at an ultra-affordable price.”

With this announcement, the airline will serve a total of 15 destinations in North America, providing multiple routes between major Canadian hubs and other Canadian destinations as well as a few U.S. destinations (such as Orlando). Lynx flights are operated on board new Boeing 737 aircraft.

Bottom Line

The arrival of Lynx Air in Montreal is excellent news for the low-cost flight market, which is gradually gaining momentum in Canada.

While most of these airlines do not have frequent flyer programs, it is still possible to redeem reward points earned with credit cards such as the TD First Class Travel® Visa Infinite* Card or the American Express Platinum Card® to reimburse the purchase of your flights with a statement credit.

At this price and with the welcome bonuses offered by these cards, you’ll have plenty of points left to pay for the rest of your trip!
