To the point Through December 23, 2022, Aeroplan is offering a points back for up to 25% to members who redeem their points for hotel stays.

A little over a month ago, Aeroplan announced the arrival of HotelSavers, a platform for booking hotels at special rates using Aeroplan points. Aeroplan is now announcing a great points rebate offer on hotel stays paid with points that will be in effect through December 23, 2022.

Earn up to 25% points back when you sign up for the offer and use your points for a hotel stay between November 15, 2022 and April 30, 2023.

Be sure to enter your Aeroplan number on the offer page or you will not receive the points back from the offer.

Let’s take the example of a four-night stay in Lisbon at the InterContinental Hotel. This stay would cost 75,450 Aeroplan points including all fees and taxes. The offer would then give you back 18,862 points.

In other words, the stay would cost 56,588 Aeroplan points for four nights in Lisbon, rather than the cash amount which would be $973, making an Aeroplan point worth 1.7 cents in this case. This is slightly below the 2 cents we value in our estimate, but it’s not necessarily a bad deal.

If you’ve earned a good number of Aeroplan points and would like to book your next hotel stay with points, it will be worthwhile for you to do so by December 23, 2022, to earn a points discount that you can use for future travel. Please note that it may take up to six weeks for the points to be deposited into your Aeroplan account.

Our advice: sign up for the offer on this page right away as it is a mandatory, and equally easy to forget, step to benefit from the offer.
