Eurostar / SkyTeam - More Sustainable City-To-City Travel

With this partnership, you can fly to one of SkyTeam ‘s main hubs in Europe, including Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport, and then connect to a Eurostar destination, such as London.

Eurostar and SkyTeam stated in a press release that around 13% of current Eurostar passengers are long-haul air travellers arriving at SkyTeam’s main hubs.

This is the first time SkyTeam has collaborated with a non-airline partner. Eurostar is currently working with KLM on intermodal air-train travel between Brussels and Amsterdam.

An intermodal offer of this kind was announced by Air Canada (a Star Alliance member) in December 2023.

SkyTeam Benefits

Under this agreement, all you need to do is make a single booking to combine a flight and a train journey, while enjoying the benefits of SkyTeam.

The SkyTeam airline alliance is a network of 20 world-renowned carriers, including Air France, Delta Air Lines and Air Europa.

SkyTeam does not have its own frequent flyer program. However, you can now join the loyalty program of at least one member airline, including Flying Blue, which is associated with Air France KLM. This will enable you to earn and redeem frequent flyer miles.

The main way to earn Flying Blue miles in Canada is through American Express Membership Rewards cards.

Our guide to the Air France KLM Flying Blue program will answer your questions and show you how to collect Flying Blue miles easily.

In France, there are two ways to accelerate your earning of Flying Blue Miles: take out an American Express card and join the Membership Rewards program, or take out an Air France KLM American Express card. Each euro spent with one of these cards earns between one and two Flying Blue Miles.
